I've been so pleased with my qtrmstr qse8 texas tea that I picked up the match in limo tint black



The black one is a christmas/becoming a father gift for my best friend when I go to visit him next week.

As for my texas tea version, it has been my daily carry for a couple months and I have never had a knife that held an edge so well. I took it camping and used it setting up camp opening boxes and cutting zip ties, ropes, firewood bundles etc, whittled with it, stabbed beer cans to shotgun them, cut fishing lines and bait, stabbed more cans, then used it to clean the trout and it cut through them better than any of the filet knives we had along. Used it to cut steaks, open mail, break down cardboard boxes, everything and I havent had to sharpen it once since I put the first 25 degree edge on it.

Nice. I really like the 0452CF. Im sorta stuck on benchmades, but the 0452CF is by far my favorite knife ive ever owned.

If you find the 0452 is unpredictable (i.e. when you close it it wants to guillotine your thumb, etc...) Just put a drip of blue loctite on the threads of the pivot and tighten the pivot till it stays where you put it... then let it dry. With the ball bearing rings it will still be plenty smooth when tight. It most likely won't loosen again. I do this with Benchmades and copper bushings too.

I didn't carry my 0452 as much until I replaced the tiny clip with a 0808 clip which is much longer. It gives you more to grip onto and protects the lockbar from your grip putting too much pressure on the detent hindering opening. ZT will send a clip for free if you ask nice via the web form.

I went with 1/4" because I want it to chop. Next time I'll get the 3/16". I bought a SYKCO Trash and a Rodent 7 too. The grip on the Rodent 7 is not my favorite, but I love the SYKCO Trash.

When the Ratweiler comes I'll keep the Rodent 7 in the car.
