Merry Christmas to me! Finally, one of three customs that I have been waiting forever for came in yesterday. This is the Boreal by Diving Sparrow Knifeworks. I have to say I am very impressed. Abe Elias (the man behind Diving Sparrow) has a reputation for making very comfortable and ergonomic handles and now I know why. I love the layering of the black paper scales on top of the natural canvas micarta; very tastefully done. His sheath is far beyond what I expected too and I'd put it alongside any other high-quality custom leather sheath that I've ever had.

An extra custom touch I had Abe add to the knife was a Christian cross on the blade and he obliged. The laser etching came out perfect. I am very happy and can honsetly say there is nothing I would change on this knife. I have no doubt it will perform great as my new camp/bushcrafter.

Great looking knife! Everything seems so smooth and flows and the sheath is impressive as well.

Beautiful knife. Those handles look amazing and seamless.

          Claudio Sobral Chopper

Hi Calguns, first post here! Just got in this CAS Chopper purchased from "Pops" at the Cutlery Collection. Absolutely blown away by the craftsmanship. It's a 6.5" San Mai blade, 11.5" overall, black micarta scales and all wrapped up in a hand-tooled leather sheath. The maker is Claudio Sobral out of Argentina. His work is definitely worth a look.

Within the last couple of months I bought 3 new Swiss Army knives.

A red Spartan II, a camouflage Huntsman, and a Red Climber.

Just ordered a Busse Battle Grade Battlemistress in SR-101 steel. Killer deal. Still plan on getting a Nuclear Meltdown Limited Edition version sometime in the future.

They are g2g. Bought a couple of Benchmade and sharpening supplies there. Love the coupon codes when it was Black Friday and Xmas time.
