Lately I cannot get enough of the YojimboII... seems like it logs the longest stretches. It is just one of my favorites. It takes a lot to beat out ZT's.

      Yup.
I wish it had the WAVE feature though.
Nothing a zip tie could not fix but the aesthetics would be dampened by that!

Cold Steel does a great wave feature. Works better on some than others with the stiff springs though. XL Talwars WHACK open like a Stockton slap.

Garage sale find. Steel is good (lloks like wootz behind the file-marks. Patina is deep and old.
Probably Moroccan, possibly Kurdish. No idea how old.

Hogues seem great. Too bad none are lefty friendly.

I've had this Gen 2 Survive Knives! 4.1 in D3V for almost 2 months now and the 4.7 in 20CV for several months. I have about 18 of their fixed blades and they're some of the best that I own. Downside is the wait for them.

Very cool! I love the outdoor action photos, much better than the standard "table top" pics you see 90% of the time. Love seeing knives used

Wish I had more time to get out there but I recently moved a lot closer to the Sierra Nevada mountain range so I'll be hitting the backcountry soon enough.
Sometimes they are not as pretty as a nice table, hahah.

Had that Spyderco in Tahoe this weekend, but no glamor shots.

Thanks jonny, I love the Sierra's and I live about an hour or so away on the other side of the mountains. I try to get out there as much as I can for hiking, backpacking, and camping. The bottom pics were in the Nevada desert outside of Frontsight, where we trailer camped for our course last month.

Survive! makes some awesome blades, but they're still having issues with producing their knives fast enough and reaching their deadlines. I was told 45 days for the Factory 2nd 4.1 in D3V and it took 6 months. Some other guys ordered the same day as I did and it took them 8 months. I would go the secondary market route on BF or their FB fan page. There are some who preordered Factory 1sts on various models and have been waiting for 2 years. If you order direct than make sure to buy the ones in current production and when they state 90 days be happy to get it within 6 months. That being said, they are OCD when it comes to quality and even their Factory 2nds are near perfect. Many of the ones that I own you can't tell a difference between 1sts and 2nds, unless you grab a magnifying glass and there might be a slight swirl on the finish. I have 18 of their blades along with several other quality brands. Survive is definitely on the top of the list.

Still waiting on delivery but ordered a Havalon Hydra.
There's also gut hook blades available.

Wow, nice! Never seen a double blade with interchangeable blades. Looks like it could be quite useful for many things. Makes me curious how sturdy the mini saw would be. Comparable to a medium size multi tool saw?
