Hopefully I don't sound like too much of a fanboy but, if you like knives (and I know you do) you should pick up one of the 'old school' buck fixed blades and use it for knife tasks. They do knife things very well, and if you really want you can do some non-knife things with them too. They're American made (mostly), Buck has great service, maintains a good presence on bladeforums, has a great warranty, and is IMO underrated by most people who equate them to old Fudd knives.Buck fixed blades look great. I never tried one. Maybe some day. I do have three of the folders.

In fact, I'd say that 'Buck = Fudd knife' issue is part of why Buck seems to not keep their more modern designs around. Buck doesn't keep stuff around that doesn't sell, and few people go to Buck looking for a 'modern' knife; so stuff like the Ground Combat series end up being short lived.Calguns.net, where everyone responding to your post is a Navy Force Delta Recon 6 Sniperator.Comment

My Reiff Knives F3 EDC arrived today so here it is below a Survive! Knives GSO 3.5 that also came in recently. The fit and finish on the Survive! is perfect. The Reiff is a step behind but still better than say, any of my Esee’s, Benchmades, and other production knives.
Grip texture on the Reiff is smoother than the Survive!. Both are canvas micarta with CPM 3V blades. The Survive! has a more contoured but overall slimmer grip.
Been searching for the perfect EDC for my personal uses. So far these 2 fit the bill nicely depending where I’m at, what I’m wearing, etc. Next 3 knives to arrive are a GSO 5.1, EDC 2.7, and a TSK, all made by Survive! Might make some YouTube videos soon to compare all the knives I have since there seems to be a lack of videos on some of them. Maybe it will help some people out in the market who are deciding between them.

Great looking fixies. I dig 'em! I just picked up this little guy from C.W. Fuller.

It was just an old plywood boat, with a '75 Johnson, with electric choke. A young boy, two hands on the wheel, I can't replace the way it made me feel.Comment

I like the 124... I just have so many similar sized knives and a lot of users. Like a SYKCO Regulator or Regulator 6.5, a Jackmandu, or a Son of Dogfather (SOD)... with nice sheaths... and more beater-class, OKC RAT7, Becker BK15, etc... I probably have enough fixed blades, but would like to try a Buck sometime. Last year I minimized the fixed blades a bit culling dupes.Hopefully I don't sound like too much of a fanboy but, if you like knives (and I know you do) you should pick up one of the 'old school' buck fixed blades and use it for knife tasks. It might be worthwhile to pick up a WalMart 119 and just use the **** out of it for a couple of months. If you hate it you can give it away without shelling out too much cash.I like the 124... Picked up this Cobratec Large FS-X OTF with blue anodized handle and a partially serrated tanto blade from Tombstone Tactical last week. It was / is on sale for $80
It's actually a very nice knife. It has A D2 blade.
Works perfectly the handle is all aluminum and very well machined.
For the money it was a steal!

I am on the hunt for a SYKCO 1111, but that 911 popped up for an absolute steal on BF and I missed it... then the buyer immediately sold it again for $20 more to cover shipping - still a steal with a BB sheath. Had to grab it. The ZT is just my EDC... it is either that 0562ti or a 0452CF... stabby slicey times.
That 911 is way better looking than my old standard 911. I usually gravitate away from recurves but this one's slight recurve makes it more interesting.
If anyone wants to trade a 9" blade (mine) for a 11" blade like a 1111 or B11, let me know... mine will have Kydex and yours doesn't need to have a sheath included. I have B9, R9, Chophouse thick cut... and other sized blades like DT12's, etc...Comment
