Walmart update(s)....?

I am looking for an update with wallyworld stock in/around the SJ area...Milpitas, Gilroy, Mountain View, Etc. Specifically I am looking for WWB 45 Auto 100 packs.

The reason I am asking here is that I have called each location several times inquiring and everyone says "ohh no, we are out". Yet the other day I stopped in on my way to IA and they had tons of 9mm and 45 Auto (even after I called, that was all they had though). I am thinking that the employees are just too dumb to know what they are looking at and CYA'ing themselves by just saying they are out as opposed to putting up with a potentially pissed customer. I have tried being as clear as possible with them and its not working out.

Sooo. Anyone been there in the last couple of days and seen some 45 auto on the shelves?

My experience with the Milpitas store was that they turn over their stock pretty quickly. Everytime I talk
to the clerks they said they don't know when they'd get stock again. I'm pretty sure they just take whatever
HQ ships them and have no ideas about types, quantity and when.

Yeah i think you're getting shined on response from the Wally World People. 223 is scarce at our Wally but plenty of WWB and BB in 9m and 45. The lines are really long though.

Agreed, but I am asking about what is on the shelves before I head out for a 30 min drive to buy it. Last week I inquired about the WWB 45 Auto and they said they were out....well I was driving by on my way to IA and stopped in for *****s and Gigs and found about 50 boxes of it sitting on the shelves.

Okay how about a PM or info on when the stock shipments generally make it to the shelves? Or is that an insider secret...haha.

ahh what do you expect for a person making 6.25 an hour. They probably gotta walk all the way across the store to check. Then have to deal with the mob there.

If you guys see anything just post up here. I will do the same if I go.

I use to call and ask about stock but I would always get FUD. Now I just plan a weekly stop for household stuff and then hit the ammo counter. Sometimes I get lucky.

From what I have seen the guys at the Mountian view store are pretty clueless. They don't know jack about ammo. I spent about 20 minutes talking to two of them last month explaining about the different calibers and the difference between FMJ and HP. It was like trying to teach them a new language.

Last time I was there they had like 10 boxes of .45....but no one with the key to open! I hope they still have some, I scored 3 gift cards as early presents today!

It would almost be nice to have a thread stickied for updates on Walmart stock. With the whole "Obama-scare" its getting harder to find a decent selection at walmart these days. That would help the few of us stock in the "non-ammo carrying" Walmart areas.

At the Milpitas Wally World the phone is 8 feet from the glass case that houses the ammo. So unless they are blind...

My guess is they didn't want to expend the effort and/or they had a huge line.

I went to Tracy Wally World and they were all out! They said early Jan they should have more. I was out there for a car install dat and party so no prob for me. The time before I scroed 2 cases or 1,000 rounds and there was only 2 or 3 boxes left after I cleaned them out
