Two Rockethub 80% receiver Fundraisers

They have this going on over at Rimfire Central for 10-22 receivers. Nobody has produced a pic of a 10-22 receiver yet, but did post a link to AR-15.com of an 80% AR receiver. I am not impressed. It looks like it is cast, but I could be wrong. Here's a pic.

scam. the couple guys who got $50K at beginning of this year still have not shipped out anything yet. I believe they were the first to cash in on the craze. The ones now on rockethub are just trying to copy that.

Yeah, this thread can go. OP, There are plenty of vendors posting here on Calguns that have 80% lowers in stock at great prices. The absurdly unbelievable prices of the rockethub offerings have not been proven, and from speaking with a number of ACTUAL manufacturers, highly unlikely that a product will ever ship at those prices. The machine time is just too high on these.

I have surveyed groups of people who have built their own 10/22 for competition and sporting use about the cost of their rifles and the average came out to be around $900 plus. After speaking to many gun enthusiasts I have learned that most of them would love to build a custom 10/22 but can't justify or afford spending $900 or more on a .22.

Yeah, because saving ~$50 on a 10/22 receiver is going to stop me from spending the other $800 in parts... lol.

this is more like a fundraiser if you look at the right you can see how many ppl have sent money so my thought is since it does not say anything anywhere in the site that if you send money "30$" you will get a lower so technically they are taking your money and setting a unreachable goal in a certain amount of time and well hey if they dont reach it well i guess the item doesnt get made and you just lost 30$. also notice it says "contribution"!!!!.. looks like a well planed scam to me

For what it's worth, I helped fund a RocketHub project a few months ago for Precision Arms. About two weeks ago, I received my nice $15(!) 80% lower from them. It looks as nice as my several Spike's lowers!

I'm headed off to Arms Specialty and Tool next week to complete it. Definitely worth the money to me!

Obviously one has to be careful in what they invest in, but with a little due-diligence, there are some good deals to be had!
