    Two Rockethub 80% receiver Fundraisers

Not sure if you guys have seen Rocket Hub before but it is basically a Kickstarter for manufacturing. There are a number of gun related fundraisers on there right now but I wanted to post two on here. Both are going to be offering a number of 80% receivers including 1911 frames for $30-$35 for steel and aluminum.

The first has 70 days left and quite a ways to go:

They are offering basically AR15 receivers, AR10 that accepts H&K G3 mags, 10/22 receivers with and without rails, and 1911 frames in steel and aluminum. They are also offering discounted prices for a few of the items if you buy in bulk.

The second fundraiser has quite a few more receivers. They need $5,560 total and they are at $590:

The new source for curated lifetime deals and content for entrepreneurs, by entrepreneurs.

    This fundraiser includes:

    AR15
    1911
    10/22
    AR10
    FAL
    M1A
    P228
    M500
    870

as well as a number of jigs for the above and some options as to metal.

I plan on purchasing a 1911 frame from one and possibly something, or a few somethings from the other. I encourage everyone to do the same to help out these small time manufacturers.

You are kidding right? I'm looking for a good source for good, inexpensive 1911 frames and other 80% receivers so I don't have to go through a whole song and dance with registering my future gun purchases on a list. The reason I posted those is because in order to happen they need people to reserve.

You posted a full-on advertisement. You want people here to play along so you can get "yours".

I want to encourage fellow gun owners to help out small time manufacturers so we don't get priced out of our hobby/ 2A rights in this state. As it stands starting January 1 2014 any new long gun will be registered on a list, unless you build it yourself. I don't see how encouraging others in helping develop alternatives is a bad thing. This is the same idea behind bulk purchases and group buys that have been advertised and encouraged on this forum. I'm not sure what the difference is or why there is a problem with what I posted.

Furthermore just because I am a new member doesn't mean I have nothing to say or I'm a troll. Before you make accusations please actually look at the content of what I've posted thus far.

Show us an example of a rocket hub success story in that folks that put in their dough got parts and jigs ??

Because so far, all I've seen lately is a string of rockethub rip-offs and failures.

Even at $80 they would probably still be losing money, let alone $35 they are trying to get you believe you will get.

If it is too good to be true it probably is too good to be true.
