Huge fan of 1911's, but have yet to do an 80% build on one. Definately in for a GB so long as the negative nancies figure out something else to do/somewhere else to be. Communication for the coordinators, patience for the buyers, and a heaping load of Shut the f*** up for all the naysayers and their naysaying.

subscribed and looking forward to news.

Hello all, I hope everyone is in the midst of wringing in the New Year on a positive note.

To answer some questions, and as a very conservative estimate, we are hoping everything will be in full swing no later than late Spring; although in reality, I predict the process will move much faster than that.

Pricing is still in the works, and should be revealed before February

One question on my end to all of you DIY folks that have completed an 80% with a jig, how do you cut the frame rails without a mill? It seems CNC build parties are becoming the de facto standard.

Limited-Ten, thanks for working on this!! I have been following the Rudius project for a while and am still probably going to buy one but I LOVE what you are doing here!!! I have subscribed and am definitely in for two. I also promise not to complain, I will be patient, and I won't argue with everyone about stupid points not related to your project

What material(s) will these be available in?

You mention the barrel seat area will need completion. What process will you recommend for this, keeping in mind that the area has an unusual radius.

In an earlier post, you asked how people without a mill plan to complete the frame rails. Please share any responses to that question.

And lastly, thank you very much for making these available.

                            Tks, Bill

Unless you are very very good with files, completing an 80% 1911 is pretty much going to take a milling machine.
This is no task for drill presses and caveman tooling...

For me.... I use Roccobro who has his own cnc he allows builders to use. I for one do not see any other way without runing into trouble getting it done, especially if you use steal or other metals besides aluminum.
