Did any of those 5 Romy Gs without disco spring fire full-auto?

i was wondering the same thing, how did they function without disco springs?

Tapco FCG never come with any springs...They must be re-used from the original FCG.

Oops it was a couple years ago when I built mine, I could have sworn it came with the spring though.

My votes are for

Maybe missing disconnector spring

Maybe the disconnector is even binding with hammer spring ends that attach to the trigger, it looks a little cramped.

Maybe gas hole isnt not big enough

Negative on the F.A. None of them did. I'm going to add the disconnector spring on them though regardless.

Thats a hardware store fix, they got springs those size all day long.

Curtis is sending me a few. Just can't believe I missed something that simple. I'm always really precise and careful when building these.

I guess will just count it as a learning experience and be more careful next time.

Waiting for the rain to stop to make sure that was the issue.

Took the AMD Rifle to the the range Saturday. It cycles perfectly now. Also checked the other Romi's and all have the spring installed, don't know how I got that one confused.

Out of curiosity, when going through the bag of parts of your several parts kits. Did you ever just think "oh these must be extra" and make a pile of them in your drawer? Or did whomever you buy from neglect to include them?

Didn't get them in the bag. I always will ask someone if there are "extra" parts I wasn't sure about but didnt get those springs for the last 4 kits (Ordered at once)

The first 3 kits was between me a relative and a friend (First Build) and we didnt do the FCG ourselves, watched one of the senior builders do it but never saw them put the dis... spring in or ask for one. I checked them and (First Builds) and all have the spring so somehow missed that spring when they put it in.

Perhaps would be a good idea at future build parties to post the whole process in order. I know there are a couple stickies that go over the general process but perhaps something thats very detailed, step by step. Maybe this would help eliminate any possible safety issues for future new builders?
