    Trigger Assm. pictures

Here are a few pictures of the trigger assembley so we can rule it out as an issue. My AMD is standard size. GT-3 cut his barrel for a pistol and my other buddy also did a pistol 9 and a half inches.

Many times hammer follow doesn't manifest itself until you actually shoot the gun. It can be hard to duplicate by hand cycling.

Might just be the pic, but the disconnecter looks funky to me. Are you in the SFV?

Yes I'm working in SFV. Down the street from Angeles Shooting Range. I'm off of Glenoaks Blvd

Ok I will get a flashlight and take a couple more.

Curtis said it could be the ammo not having enough pressure but it fured through the Romi just fine. The Romi has had about 600 rounds through it already though with a different batch of ammo.

Curtis also said to try a different carrier and said can also try different trigger as perhaps the Tapco hammer is pushing on the carrier too much not allowing the carrier to go back all the way.

I like Curtis and his parts, but this is a bunch of

Look, I doubt you have 3 bad Tapco trigger sets, I doubt its the ammo. You have 3 kits from Curtis that are not cycling properly. Its either the gas port is undersized, the gas piston is out of spec (if they are US) . You need to do the tape thing and measure how far the bolt carrier is going back as mentioned. Until you know this, your just guessing, and there is no way to actually tell until you fire it again. Do you have a buffer in these pistols? If so take them out. Grease the rails and bottom of the carrier that slides over the hammer too.

Stick a flash light down the barrel, and inspect the gas port. Maybe there is crud in the gas block or something. More pics...

So you are using a Tapco trigger? Single hook too and it's not resetting? I wonder if the trigger slot in the receiver is too long allowing the trigger hook to rotate too far down to catch the hammer.

                    piston length

Check the length of the piston with a known working rifle, One of my last kits had a AKM piston (~1" shorter) so it would not reach the correct spot at the end of the gas tube (Curtis corrected by sending the right one), and I can assume this would not allow enough pressure to build to push it back enough

Discos look wierd to me too, as if they don't have springs in them, but that might just be the pictures.

Cut down to pistols? Who cut them? Did they drill the gas port any bigger?

One of the pistols Curtis did. It was the one listed on his site. Custom gas tube etc.. Looks like he drilled the gas port but not the barrel. The other pistol GT-3 did and cut the barrel at Roco's BP. Roco cut the barrel and threaded it with GT-3.

My AMD is regular barrel un-cut. GT-3 did not drill his gas port any bigger.

Springs? The other trigger s we did only have the main spring that wraps around the hammer and never had any issues. Is there supposed to be one on the disconnector? WOW, i seriously hope I'm not that ignorant.

Have five AMD kits right now only 3 are "finished." None of the three are working though. Do you have an AMD piston you could measure and I will check it against our pistons?

I'll try the original trigger and see if it cycles or may pull one from my Romi and see if that works. And yes it's single hook.
