Jesus H Christ, did you bang your friend's wife or something?

How on earth did he decide to KEEP GOING?

Next time DIY... this is the result of $5 of delrin rods off amazon, a little research on youtube, and a few careful strokes of a file... on my first time ever doing it.

In looking at the pictures…If it was me I would take the slide off and get it re poly coated. The chips are not in the metal that bad. Poly coat is really thick stuff and will cover a bunch of flaws. That’s why they use it. Just get another rear sight. That is not worth the hassle to fix. Those are not poly coated.

Imo just contact CZ custom via email and let them do it….along with putting the new rear sight in so send one of those. That looks like a Dawson…is it?

If I were to put on my Bubba hat, I'd remove the rear sight, fill in the slide gouges with JB Weld, sand smooth, and then duracoat or cerakote, same with the gouges on the rear sight, then reinstall.

Hopefully OG Bubba didn't F up the dovetail somehow.

It's the CZ custom CZ adjustable rear and front sight.

Thanks for the input on the poly coat. I may have to send it in as I'm getting light strikes lately. I thought I cleaned it thoroughly but CZ check for fowling around the firing pin before I mail it to them.

Totally. Just use a sharpie to blacken it and shoot the crap out of it. Lesson learned. I've done some stupid stuff to my guns too.

It's been almost 2 month since the OP started. It's not that hard to fix. Recoat the slide or the entire gun with Duracoat. Sand that area smooth and follow instruction of Duracoat to recoat it.
