"you don't need a sight pusher" is the mantra of the cheapskates.
I offer you this thread as why sight pushers are worth the cost.

Here is a nice sight pusher if you ever feel yourself wanting one of the best:

A friend installed the sight on my CZ 75 SA. The sight did not go in easily and he ended up using a hammer and punch to get it in. As you can see, he missed a few times. I hate the way this looks and I'm wondering what my options for repairs are?

Is this a cerakote situation? File/sand/then coat?

CGW said they could help but I'd rather find a local shop if possible.

        Appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Just let your friend TIG weld that up, grind it back to shape and refinish. Good way to learn.

Find a shop that does exotic slide work, tell them you want the slide lightened, especially those marks removed, and sell the slide for a 300% markup on CalGuns!
J/K - sorry to see that. Easiest way, get a decent used slide, keep that one in the drawer or sell it. Might come in handy some day.
There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

It's a muzzle BRAKE, not a muzzle break. Or is your muzzle tired?

Delrin is your friend. In a pinch without a pusher, it wont do that to the metal.

That’s what you get for going the cheap *** route. And your friend isn’t much of a friend if he gave you the gun back with that kind of damage.

Sight pushers are for those with crappy aim with a hammer and punch. They have their place and it's in the hands of amateurs

I've hammered in $200 sights on $400 slides and left no marks that could not be removed with a rag and some oil. Judicious prep to the dove tail and sight are key. then all it takes is gentle persuasion with a brass or delrin punch

Did you or your friend test fit the sight?
If it wasn't going in at least halfway into the notch without much effort, you could've sanded the bottom of the rear sight and test fit again.
This would have been much easier to install and less likely to lead to significant damage.
                            Just my opinion...

                              I have too.
Judicious prep and a sight pusher is even easier than a hammer and punch because you have so much more control.
Sight pusher is also safer as it's not possible to hit the slide if you are not doing any hitting at all.

The only people that argue that a hammer and punch is as good as a sight pusher are the ones that refuse to buy a sight pusher.

Lots of people get work done with inferior tools.
Some people realize the value of good tools and they buy them.

Why would you want starrett punches and a plvmb hammer when you could just get cheap ones from harbor freight?
