volvo: thanks for letting us know, turns out I should read the Good Dr's emails more often (they automatically get re-directed / archived instead of hitting my inbox)

cool that they finally took the pro shop online and while it's not the smoothest shopping experience out there, it's better than nothing and the shipping prices are decent.
Good to have that extra option should I really ned another FS jacket.

I can't be sure. It was a sure fire the previous match with the 14#.

My gut feel now is the magazine, which has extended basepads that I don't get disadvantaged in the division. Maybe something jamming the spring pushing the follower...? Haven't really checked it, yet. Am planning to take them apart for some maintenance checks tonight/tomorrow.

Chiming in here- just completed a 2 day Defensive Handgun with my wife and (new to FS) bro/sis in laws. The skill builder is next and then maybe Practical Rifle. I really enjoy the training and would prefer a 4 day, it's just hard with work and kids.

I guess I must have read the email incorrectly. I was thinking that my multi-millions in credits would snag me some swag from the on-line pro shop. Not quite. Still need cash to purchase just like on-site. No real deals to be had.

                      Yeah,
He's got electronic muffs for $36 + $10 to ship. You can get the exact muffs for $26 del'd on amazon. Weird thing is, his packaging has F.S. logos.

I noticed that also. Compared to Amazon, most everything cost more cash especially when shipping is added. The only exception looks like if you bulk order the shipping cost stays low.

Not surprised that they're profitable with the store. If they weren't, the store alone would bankrupt FS. I suppose that's a good thing.

The weather was very pleasant on the range- mornings and evenings were COLD 27f at 6am. The day though was beautiful and low 60's. The only issue I had is that it was dry, so much so that my hands hurt. Bring some good lotion that isn't oily.

It used to bug the crap out of me, with all the bait and switch stuff regarding upgrades, credits, etc. However, over the years I have learned that if you look at what FS does best, i.e. training, I have gotten my money's worth several times over. I have also given away dozens of certs and memberships and even sold a few. I think of credits now as the never ending background check fund and the lunchtime shoot as much as you want kitty. Not holding m breath for any of the other stuff ever being built, but if they build something I hope it's the new clubhouse rather than anything else in the roadmap.

I still can't shoot well enough to DG the class. There was one new thing at the rifle inspection. Instead of pulling the trigger with the meter They have actual 4 lbs. of weight on a metal rod. It has a roller on the trigger end. They just stand your rifle upright on the butt stock and let the weights hang. If it doesn't trip you are good to go. Mine tripped at first. I think when he picked it up he kind of shook the rifle. He was more exact on the next two attempts. I have an adjustable elftmann trigger set at 4.2 oz.

I really didn't care for the Constitutional lecture. I hope that doesn't sound un-American or not patriotic. I don't think it was a usual lecture. There was another guy there and they joined some kind of webcast or something. I left early. I did try the BBQ pulled pork sandwich. Just adequate.

I met Brad Akerman. He was there as well. My son always jokes that he isn't real. He is like an actor or something. So that was proof for him.
The last time I saw Brad Akerman he said to me about my Front Sight Executive Watch that I was wearing "even I don't own one of those!"
