Another observation: far from being "worthless" or whatever he called them in a follow up email I did not get, the points we accumulated were supposed to represent voting interests or "shares" of future governance. Here is the wording from one of my last upgrades:
"It is the Patronage Points that I will eventually be accepting back from you in trade when it is time to gently and generously turn Front Sight Firearms Training Institute over to you and your fellow members. The more Patronage Points you have to trade at that time, the greater the percentage of ownership you will be able to secure relative to the other members who do the same."
I traded in thousands of memberships for my "points". Not worthless, unless he's admitting that membership is worthless.
And if this is his idea of "gently and generously" I'd hate to see the alternative.Comment

My thoughts
To be clear, many members would like Front Sight to continue to exist. I count myself among those who do. However I do have one absolute criteria for any future support and that is Dr charlatan must at a minimum be totally removed.
I would really like to create a poll. (I don't know how to create a poll) This poll would only have two choices. The poll is not designed to represent the be all, end all. If answered honestly this poll would however be a strong indicator of what the future holds for Front Sight and DR charlatan.
The poll is not designed to define all of the possible positions and positional tangents. It is designed to uncover the core positions of members. Key is to this is the poll must be answered honestly.
At this point I believe most understand that Front Sight was founded and operated as combination of Ponzi, pyramid scheme with a copious amount of fraud, and cult like propaganda.
With this understanding please check the position that best defines your core value, and position of how to move forward.
1. I plan to salvage whatever I can and am willing to invest more money into this effort to keep Front Sight open and Dr Piazza in charge.
2. I am not willing to aid, abet or invest any additional money or support as long as Dr Piazza is still associated with Front Sight.
If there a sufficient number of people in position #1, DR charlatan will be able to continue his criminal activity and rebuild his ill gotten phony empire.
The number people who espouse position #1 is the only critical number.
All those in position #2 are of minimal concern. They are simply removed from the fish pond.Comment

I'd bet the original draconian restructure was a way to get people's attention in order to get people to agree to a lesser fee structure."... when a man has shot an elephant his life is full"- John Alfred Jordan

From a Gun Site trained person (ME), if you were trained well you should be able to take your training and perfect it at a local range. I had another way to shoot now and compare. Remember Front site trains their instructors, some have no gun training before front site. Places like Gun Site only hire retired military and law enforcement for instructors no kids teaching you. Gun site trained IGGY did you know that? Last edited by W.R.Buchanan; 01-30-2022, 11:46 AM.Rule #1 Liberals screw up everything they touch.

As much as I can't stand what Piazza is doing eight now and things he's done in the past I have to agree with you 100% that his behavior and decisions really are separate from the quality of the instruction. Those that trash the training either have never been there, or are probably upset because they may not have done very well when they did do and take a class there and were possibly humbled. The training is fantastic, no frills, especially if you're a new shooter. Heck, I brought a buddy who was former MP and another buddy who was retired SWAT and he said it was a fantastic class and both walked away learning something new and subsequently became members.
That's what kept me going back, was the quality and consistency of the instructors who really do /did seem to be held to a very high standard. I took a combination of the 4DDH and 2-Day Skill builder 6 times in the last year and a half. My first time there was so impressive and the Range Master was so good (and later found out he was being evaluated during that class to be promoted) that I was worried that subsequent trips out there would be a let down, but they weren't. Every time the Range Masters and coaches were fantastic. It takes a special kind of skillset to teach those skills and do it in a timely manner (they try to run the classes down to the minute) and help out those that need the extra attention.
Is it perfect, of course not, but in my opinion it's darn close. I really think those that trash the instruction and their methods are probably the ones that probably fought and argued with the Range Master and line coaches and thought they'd come in and do everything perfectly but didn't. Or maybe they were a very advanced shooter that was bored and all the stuff taught in the class was stuff they already know, which means they should have shot a perfect score on the test.
During one of my classes there were two LEO's that were sent out by their department. Those guys were seriously two of the worst performers in the class, and neither of them shot with a concealment garment. They were dropping mags, were slow, and not very accurate. And they had no clue how to do Type 3 malfunction clearances. They admitted they had a lot to learn after that class. SO people who just write off the quality of training really don't know what they are saying. And sure, it would be nice to run around a course and shoot from different positions, etc. but you gotta learn to crawl before you can walk, and walk before you can run. For the new shooter who has never touched a firearm or someone who has been around firearms but has never had any formal training, the instruction and classes at Font Sight really are second to none.sigpicComment

I had never fired a semi-automatic shotgun before the class and did not even know how to unload it without firing it or pull the bolt back and have it stay open (did not know about the lifter switch on the Beretta 1301).
The instructors helped me with the mechanics and running the gun so in 4 days I was able to DG it with a -6 on the course of fire (-13 or better out of 125 is the DG). I went there as a neophyte and learned a ton.
Once I set up the shotgun to be a bit more efficient (I might even put a red dot on it), I will head back for a skill builder in May if current drama does not get worse."... when a man has shot an elephant his life is full"- John Alfred Jordan

I'll agree with you on the shotgun class I finished last Thursday. The rangemaster and the instructor were very good and helped a ton.

Let me understand this, now knowing Front Sight operations and financing have been based on fraud perpetuated by Dr charlatan and if the current drama doesn't get worse and Dr charlatan is still at the helm you'r going back?Comment
