    Reloading boo boo's

So how many want to tell what mistakes they done?
    .
Well I will start I was working up a load for the 44 mag, clays powder using a scale and instead of 7 grains of powder it was 7/10's of powder .So today it went pop and all I had was a cleaning rod and a wrench with me to beat the slug out.Good thing I only loaded two rounds...........

Nice racks are much better. You can grab both sides of the rack to help stabilize while mounting.

I've had one squib in about 10K reloaded rounds. Happened on the line during a live-fire training class, and lucky for me I couldn't quite chamber another round. Can never be too careful...

Shot somebody-else's squib x2, handed down, from being handed down to the hander-down. I learned to tap them out...

One time, I let the powder hopper get kinda low. Figured, "oh, I'll just do a few more then top it off."

Yeah, you can guess what happened.

Ended up pulling 200 rounds apart. Yeesh. Haven't made that mistake since.

Dropped my single stage press on my foot. That caused a boo-boo, let me tell ya!

At least it wasn't my turret press!

Thought i was putting a healthy crimp on some 500 S&W i was loading. Worked fine until i got down to my last 2 rounds and had to fill the cylinders other 3 chambers with Buffalo Bore ammo.

After the second buffalo bore round one of mine had jumped its crimp, spilling h110 all over the place and locking the cylinder.

Tapped it out with a dowell, but the powder was in everything and the cylinder wouldnt close. Realized after a few days of cleaning that there was a couple tiny grains under the ejector causing it to stick out ever so slightly and preventing the cylinder from closing.

                Never again.

I ran a batch without checking weights every 10 in the 550. Die screw creeped, and I was about 1.5gr lighter by the end of the batch than my target throw. They all shot fine in practice.

I didn't size a batch of .223 brass enough and it caused me to drop 75 points on a registered match with a stuck case in rapids.

frank: Wait a minute. There are more than one wizard? Is [are?] the wizard calibrated?

I've gottten blood blisters a couple times as the bullet went into the seating die, grabbing some skin while it went into the case. I bell the case a little more now.

A tad too much crimp when I first loaded a .223 round.

Talk about going into panic mode and the brain shutting down all at once. Took a couple seconds to wake up and stop it. Nothing like a good pile of varget all over the bench.

Yup, done this. Didn't even notice at first, realized there was a problem when the powder level was lowering as I was filling it. I've also thrown powder without a case present, 42 grains of H110 in my turret press.
One favorite when I use the turret press is forgetting to advance the head from powder fill to seating bullet and it shoves the bullet into the case. Fixing that mistake is:
                            1) curse
                            2) play with bullet while trying to get the powder out
                            3) curse
                            4) bullet puller
                            5) try again, forgetting to advance the head because you were irritated
                            6) curse again
                            7) discard entire cartridge
                            8) start over after advancing the head to start position.
With all this "gun control" talk, I've not heard one politician say how they plan on taking guns from criminals, just law abiding Citizens.

A brass case wasn't sizing down all the way so my solution was to put my entire body weight on this (dinky little $35 lee) press, which cause it to break my bench, and the long adjustment screw on the hornady die stabbed me right in the collar bone. its just now healing.
