Is that stand really as sturdy as a solid bench?
This is actually version 2.0 of the stand.

Version 1.0 was 1/4" steel for the base plate as well as everything else. The wheels were also smaller and only turn-locking. The only press based activity that I had any issues with was priming, as there would be slight movement (left/right) as well as slight lift if I was pushing forward hard.

Version 2.0 replaced the 1/4" base plate with 1" steel and the wheels are now 4x dual locking (turn as well as swivel lock) wheels. There is no movement in the press when I reload with it.

The stand is probably heavier than most work benches (totaling nearly 150lbs) and with the offset of the column, stability is a non-issue. I'd put it up against anyone's bench mounted press and when you add in the complete mobility (built it to be comfortable loading either standing or sitting), I'm very satisfied with it compared to my bench mounted presses.

Here's the link to the complete build process from 1.0 to 2.0.

Now, I'm sure these are truly, truly GREAT benches.

I'm just laughing because out of all the places to mount ONE press and install ONE small drawer, this guy put them in the same spot
