Help, Brass prices?

Stilly - I am not trying to fish around for people willing to pay top dollar for anything gun related in "todays" market. GB has some crazy prices as well for many items and this is because the seller has a high reserve or others are willing to pay crazy amounts because they are afraid they will never be able get them again. I am new to the reloading game and would like to start reloading myself. The reason I ask how much it goes for is because I do not believe in ripping people off. I checked online and went to GB and saw the prices there. I came here to ask if this is reg price or the inflated price on brass. If there is a chance to help other gun enthusiast save some money then why not. Yes I am a newbie and I come here asking you veterans advice on a subject that I am new on.

Here is the secret to the gun broker auctions, don;t look at reserve prices or what someone STARTS them at, look at auctions with actual BIDS. Does nobody understand that? Only if there is a bid can you tell what folks are willing to pay. Just look at all the .223 brass and .308 brass. Look at the completed auctions. Yeah prices fluctuate but you can go to GB and see that folks are willing to pay $130 or more for 1k .223 rounds. Smart business would dictate to sell around that price. Or you can "be a nice guy" and sell at $80 for 1k shells and someone will buy them all up and turn around and sell them for $130 or more. Congrats. You could have been $50 richer. BTW, I am all for selling at higher prices. I say that is the beauty of capitalism. Yeah it is a double edged sword but that is the price we pay for having it.

Unless I see a post about a GB going on, Anytime I see prices and someone asking how much should something cost (because they are looking to buy a lot of it and then manufacture or wink wink sell it off here) it throws up red flags because I was abused by the newsgroups as a chil' and now I am damaged goods (although my psychologist said that I was almost normal) and will always be hyper-sensitive. I will have this condition until I die or shoot something larger than a 8 yr old. (cause shooting that 8 yr old did not get rid of the condition...)

Anyways, no need to justify yourself to me since I am not a mod, I am just a guy on the internets. I promise though that I will try to not post on this thread anymore. GSH!
