    Help, Brass prices?

Hello calgunner's. I need help on pricing brass for 5.56, 7.62 and .50 cal. These are all once fired brass and are mainly lake city. Standard military brass. I have a chance to pick up quite a few (2tons) of mixed brass of the above and would like to resell. I know everything had gone up in price and people are crazy for asking what they do. I want to keep it low cost and not rip you guys off. What is a good price for each? Selling by the bulk "500" or so. Please don't give me .50 cents for a pack of 500 answers I've seen 500 5.56 for $56, 500 7.62 for $70 and 20 .50 cal for $17. Is this the inflated price??

    Thank in advance.

Wideners used to sell, still show it but out of stock, once fire Lake City 5.56, $73 per thousand, and $204.00 per 3K.

Hopefully your not talking about some of the government liquidation auctions?

Thanks quicksilver And no his is not a gov liquidation auction. So 500 of 5.56 for $35 should be fair no? What about 7.62 and .50 cal?

              5.56 Brass

I took some notes when I started reloading of brass prices and I remember seeing $50 shipped for 1k military cleaned brass from another calguns member (September 2012)

Same seller is now asking $130 / 1k for mixed headstamp (cleaned). Not a price I would be willing to pay…

I would try to be as competitive as possible, with private and online vendors. I think Wideners prices are pretty reasonable…

Ok so I have a good enough idea of what to price it as. I will post the brass sales here as soon as I get them. I would think $60 for 1k 5.56 is a fair deal. Stay tuned for these sales.

                    Thanks everyone.

I paid around $70/k tumbled mixed headstamp commercial and military brass delivered 223.

The current price is a heckuva lot more. Folks have been paying up to 200 or so per /k , but gunbroker is the place to really find the latest prices.

edit==just looked at GB, I'm seeing $150/k and the auction isn't finished.
