I have 8 magazines for the 1911 . When I get to range , it is a lot easier to change magazines , while someone else refills them . 6 magazine and it is your turn while I refill .life member - CRPA and NRA

Yeah wait till you get into casting and you get molds for calibers and you do the math and make the best guesses at what a load should be, but when it comes down to firing, well, God I love my wife. 582 test loads later and I married my girlfriend. I just hand her the gun and say go try this, I made it just for you and she has no fear about pulling the trigger...
So yeah, when I made the blue dot work in 9mm with some 105gr pills I was all cheers.7 Billion people on the planet. They aint ALL gonna astronauts. Some will get hit by trains...

I never really had the first reload jitters, but then I started out with muzzle loaders, where you reload after every shot

I would make that 1.265 MAX OAL I use 1.250 OAL most oftenComment

I agree with other loaders. I use 5.0 grains of Bullseye. You don't need to go over that.Comment
-
Well, moved up to 4.7 grs of Bullseye with oal of 1.265. Everything went fine, but I'm gonna try 1.260 next batch.
Don't know if I was just having a good day, but shot extremely well for me with the above loads.

Just a quick comment since you're getting started here; pressure signs, such as flattened primers, are something you see in rifle cartridges, and you see them at about 3 times the pressure you're ever going to see in 45ACP. If you were to ever see that in a 45ACP, you are way, way, way over pressure.Comment

Try 1.250 OAL.Comment

Yeah pistols **** with you. Take the Deagle for example, it pulls out the shell in a way that look like half the primer was ready to flatten out. After I noticed it I had to take a double take because, DAMN that was gonna suck.Just a quick comment since you're getting started here; pressure signs, such as flattened primers, are something you see in rifle cartridges, and you see them at about 3 times the pressure you're ever going to see in 45ACP.
