You can find a reloading shop near you ask questions see the press's.
    Reloading clinic would be excellent.
Posting were you live could be helpful.
Start saving your brass if you haven't started.
You won't save any money reloading.

I have many presses but really only use my Lee Loadmaster that I bought used for 200.00 with two sets of dies and some accessories. I can load 9mm for about .13 a round and after loading the bullet feeder and case collator with 100 rounds, I can load those 100 in 9 minutes. I just checked the ads in today's paper and Dicks/Big 5 had 9mm for no lower than .21 a round. Save money? I certainly think so!

Can you post a picture of your brass feeder for the 9mm. I've tried, but can't figure it out. I got it figured out for 40s&w, but not 9mm.

I'm just using the factory Loadmaster 4 tube case collator and the small case slide assembly. Is that what you're using with your .40? If so, where are you having problems?

Yes, I am, just can't figure out the height adjustment. I had emailed Lee Precision a few years back and the lady who responded told me to use a Bic pen for my height.

For 40s&w, I'm using the large tubes and small slider, works fine. For 9mm, I tried the small case tubes and small slider, then I run into problems, it works sometimes, but I haven't had the time or patience to try it again yet. I found my groove feeding it by hand so I never tried it again. Saw your post so I figured I would ask.

Just figured it out, I have two large case sliders 0.o

I ordered mine as a kit for 32 acp and was under the impression that I got a small case slider since it shipped with a small case feeder. Why 32acp? Because at the time, nothing was in Stock other than the 32acp kit, so instead of waiting, that's the route I went.

Ok, Great! Yes, small slide for 9mm. My only issue, and its a small one, is that the last case out of the tube falls sideways, then off the alum slide rail. No big deal but it messes with my "rhythm" sometimes.

I started reloading because it was supposed to save me money. Reloading became a hobby, and I spend too much money on the hobby. It can save you money, but you will most likely shoot more. You can also develop reloads for precision rifles.

To begin the process you can buy books, get a mentor, or just buy the equipment and begin learning by doing. I would recommend reviewing the websites of the major manufacturers of reloading equipment to learn the process. Search RCBS, Hornady, Redding, Dillon, Lyman.

When you first look at the dollar cost of setting up a reloading bench. Think of the investment from a depreciation stand point. While many simply look at the purchase price of a bench they forget to remember that their equipment will have a resale value just like a car, should you decide to give up reloading your gear can easily be sold. This can be anywhere from 65% to 90% of the retail price.

Buy quality second hand equipment and your equity value could be near 100%. Stick with reloading for a lifetime and the cost is insignificant. If you have shildren that will end up learnig to load and shoot with you then you give it to them someday. It will have paid for it's self over and over.

Once you offset the depreciation factor only then yes the cost is worth it. If you only look through life as what did it cost me today then just what in life will be worth the cost.

Buy in bulk, expect to spend more than you planned and get some instructions.

Don't count the machine as an expense because Dillon holds it value.

I'll second a couple of the comments on resale value of reloading equipment. Good quality reloading equipment holds its value and is easy to sell. I have been a Dillon fan and user of their equipment since the mid 80's. If you buy cheap equipment, it may not maintain its resale value.
