I like the Samsungs, even though the GPS in them sucks. takes forever to get a lock and it will lose lock easily.

I've had iphones in the past, prefer Android. Had the Motorola Atrix and now have the Samsung Galaxy 2 Epic 4g Touch

Some of my coworkers went from iphone 4 to Epic 4G Touch and are bailing back to IOS with the iphone 4s.

      Its all personal preference.

iPhone , since it's just too fragmented with all the choices out there. Don't get me wrong, the samsung phones are great (hell i even want a samsung note) but the iphone hands down for apps and being simple.

I suggest iPhone. I came from android, several androids, the last of which was a Samsung. The platform is so fragmented now its kind of ridiculous. Stability was always an issue. Regardless of which phone it was I would get multiple force closes on apps any and every day. Not to mention the fact that if I did not restart the phone ever other day it would get slow/unresponsive. I gave up a few things to switch to iPhone. No swype still bothers me, and a few other minor details, but the overall better performance and easy to learn interface make it the winner in my book. If android gets its act together in the next 2 years I may switch back, but at this point I am more than happy with the iPhone.

Oh, figured I would toss in the lack of viruses on iPhone, because apple is smart enough to have a screening process for apps before they go into the app store, unlike android where you NEED an antivirus app because, being complete idiots, google allows anyone that can program an app (hmmmm, I think a lot of hackers and other jerks that create viruses might be able to do that kind of stuff) to upload their work to be downloaded by android users. I read a few tech blogs, and I always see articles about the new virus threats to android, never read a single article like that about the iPhone or IOS....just sayin'

iPhone is small and locked down. If you don't mind those aspects, iPhone might be for you. Otherwise, non-Samsung Android is my vote.

hmmm....the anti-virus thing definitely makes me want to go iPhone....the smaller ergonomics is appealing too. I forgot to mention that I'd definitely go with the 4S since it seems to have the bugs worked out. I don't want to be in the September rush for the 5 and end up being one of apple's test cases...

Google is now scanning all new and existing apps in the markets for viruses and malware.

Google on Thursday added a new layer of security to the Android Market, dubbed Bouncer, that will scan apps for evidence of malware.

Tell me: what brand guns do you own?

If you like Colt, Smith & Wesson, Springfield and Ruger, buy an iPhone.

If you like Hipoint, Keltec, or Polytech, buy a Samsung.

I own all of the former, and none of the latter, but I picked a Samsung over an iPhone (both were free to me as company phone options).

Personally I would go with the Samsung. Android is a more open technology and is pretty much the future.

Not to mention that the Samsung Galaxy S II has the fastest processor, so for multiple aps and fast browsing the Samsung wins the contest.

The I-Phone has a slightly higher resolution to some extent, and many will state that as a reason to get it.

On the other hand the Samsung uses more sub pixels so it looks just as sharp and quite a bit brighter. It is a better technology for my old eyes since it is bright enough that I can see it much better even in bright sunlight.

Android operating systems are constantly getting new applications and you don't need to get them from any apple crapple store. It is free sourced and everywhere and a lot of it is free.

I just like the open sourced liberty of the Samsung.

And lets not forget that the I-Phone uses Samsung technology in it, such as the processor itself, although not as fast as their most recent in the Samsung offerings.

The new samsungs are wafer thin with great battery life and Gorilla Glass and are light as a feather.

The I-Phone is a bit thicker and heavier, and much more prone to drop damage, but hey it's a phone and some like a little size, myself included.

The new Samsungs are also wider, and I prefer that finding the screen on the I-Phone a bit small for me since I will probably never get a Tablet or anything like that but do browse for this and that almost every day.

That extra 3/4 of an inch display and the brightness makes all the difference to me, and I thought it might be too big until I picked up the Galaxy S II and found it to be totally ergo-dynamic and lightweight, even with the tremendous battery it holds.

Bottom line both are excellent products.
