Not bad, but I get corporate rate @ AT&T and if and when Nexus will be on AT&T is unknown. I can pick up the SII Skyrocket for 49 bucks and it will upgrade to ICS. If I really need the Nexus, I could early terminate and not be out of much cash.If you're looking at the Galaxy S II you should go with the Galaxy Nexus when it hits Verizon next month. The launch date has been confirmed as the 8th. This is the Android phone to get, it is Google's flagship phone, the first to ship with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and will be the first to get future Android updates. Don't be put off by the 5mp camera, the difference between it and the 8mp camera on the other Galaxy S II phones is barely noticeable.

You can buy an unlocked pentaband (data works with all GSM networks) Galaxy Nexus right now. I'd ditch AT&T though, even with your discount they're still not worth it. Verizon probably offers you a discount too.

Do you realize that Android runs on top of Linux? The media reports of Android malware are majorly overblown. And don't fool yourself, iOS is very susceptible to malware. The only reason you only hear about Android from the media is because they've all been hypnotized by the shiny products that Apple releases.
One thing that was not mentioned in that article is that if Google finds an app in the Market that has malware they will remove it from not only the Market but also from any devices that it is installed on. They have done this a few times already.Forbes noted that, unlike iOS, Google’s Android does not require that apps be approved to be installed on its phones and tablets – an approach that allowed malware on Android devices.
But with the security flaw he exposed, Miller said iOS security can be reduced to the level of Android.
“Android has been like the Wild West. And this bug basically reduces the security of iOS to that of Android," he said.
I am sick and tired of the media acting like Apple makes secure products, there is a reason why OSX has been the first to fall at the last several Pwn2own hacking contests. In fact Apple mobile products have been shown to be less secure than Android at that contest. Last Tuesday, Google removed 21 free apps that were hacked and loaded with malware, and then distributed on the company's Android Marketplace.
Since then, reports state that Google has removed more than 50 malicious apps from its Android Marketplace -- though, while Google has acknowledged that it has removed a number of apps, it so far has declined to say just how many.
Here’s a round-up of the winners and losers:
Apple had a poor showing at Pwn2Own, with both the mobile and desktop versions of Safari hacked, Ars Technica reports. French security firm VUPEN took down desktop Safari with a combination of well-known techniques for bypassing operating system protection and new code to make these techniques work on 64-bit systems. The iPhone fell to Charlie Miller and Dion Blazakis, who compromised the smartphone through a special web page. Apple has since protected itself against the particular exploit used by Miller and Blazakis, but the underlying security flaw still exists.iOS and every other Apple product are not the most secure around, this is proven every single year.But it wasn’t all bad news. Google’s Chrome survived the competition — its third successful Pwn2Own in a row — and Mozilla’s Firefox escaped attacks for the first time since it became part of the competition in 2009, according to Computerworld. However, Chrome uses the same Webkit engine that was exploited for the Blackberry hack, and so Google has already released a patch to fix the problem. (That means Google’s $20,000 bug bounty went unclaimed.) Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 and Google’s Android phones also emerged unscathed.

Been a Motorola user since my first cell in 98 (yea, not that long ago really) I've had the same account with verizon since then... just keep upping/changing it whenever I get a new phone.
love the android systems. my Droid 1 had a screen malfunction after 1 year of pretty heavy usage, the backlight went out. about 3 months after it was replaced, it went out again.
I then got a droid2 and that's what I have now. haven't had a problem with it, I would like to upgrade to the next greatest thing but I have no real need for it. So when my next upgrade is available I will get whatever android system is newest then as wellyou don't rise to the occasion,
you just fall back on your level of training.Comment
