I have the iPhone 4S and Samsung Galaxy S2. Both are the best phone out there on the market right now.

To keep this simple. If you are not interested in customizing, over clocking, tweaks, modifying your phone like how you modify a gun, then stick to a iPhone. (Still no jailbreak for 4S) It is plain and simple. Battery life is a lot better than SG2 and Android phones in general.

If you like to flash custom roms, overclocking your phone, tweaking things, then Android is for you. But be sure to have a backup battery because my battery dies super fast.

Don't forget that if you are into Google services like Gmail, Youtube, Google maps, Picasa, Google talk, then a Android is a must. Don't forget that there is flash on Android phones also.

The Galaxy Nexus is better than the Galaxy S II, and every review I have seen says the ICS interface and experience is as good if not better than the iPhone. With ICS you have zero shutter lag with the camera for one thing, and it is a very fast and smooth interface. ICS will not have flash for another month or two though.

Galaxy Nexus isn't even released yet.

I know specs isn't everything but the SG2 got it beat specs wise. Camera has higher megapixel on the rear. SG2 Exynos processer is better than Nexus Texas instrument.

The Nexus screen is only Super Amoled while SG2 is Super Amoled Plus.

SG2 will have ICS update early next year. If you are impatient, you can easily flash ICS firmware in a few months with dev's custom roms.

The Galaxy Nexus may only have a 5mp camera but the quality is just as good as the 8mp camera on the Galaxy S II. Optics and sensor size are more important that megapixels, it's all about the amount of light you can capture. The screen on the Galaxy Nexus is also better, reviews are saying it is just as nice as the iPhone's "retina" display. It is also a larger screen, with a resolution of 720p. As for the processor not being "as good", there is a reason why it isn't as fast. They both have 1.2Ghz dual-core OMAP processors. ICS was also developed for the Galaxy Nexus, other phones need to have the OS ported over to them.

              Well I went with Android!

              I picked up this:

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 with a free Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket I know many of you suggested dropping AT&T, but I have never had a complaint and I have a cheap unlimited data plan from my Blackberry. So now its time to learn a new platform.

As an iPhone user, I voted Droid. The only reason I have not made the switch is because I am an Apple user and everything syncs perfectly.

I was referring to US market. Galaxy Nexus won't release until next month in the US. You can get one from UK for $800USD at the moment..

The camera quality may be just as good but the SG2 will take photos 60% more detail for larger printing. Not that I will ever need it since I have a DSLR but I tend to use my DSLR less since my iPhone and SG2 camera takes excellent photos.

The Nexus has better screen resolution but I am disappointed that they didn't make it Super Amoled Plus. The Super Amoled Plus screen is thinner, clearer, and uses less energy. Super Amoled plus is also gorilla glass vs Super Amoled, which is only fortified glass.

The international and AT&T SG2 uses Samsung's Exynos processor, which has been proven to be better and more energy efficient than the Texas instrument processors. Although the SG2 Exynos processor is rated at 1.2 GHZ, it is equivalent to 1.4GHZ TI Snapdragon processor in some SG2.

Samsung has confirmed that they will port ICS onto SG2. It is just a matter of time before they will get it.

With that said, I am pretty disappointed with the Galaxy Nexus. The SG2 has been out since June 2011 and the Nexus just came out in the UK, yet it is not significantly better (don't know if it is even better) than the older Samsung Galaxy. Seems like the only thing that the Nexus is better than the SG2 is the screen resolution and slightly larger screen. That is about it.

Some other things I noticed in some SG2 vs Nexus reviews is that they pointed out that SG2 is lighter, thinner, ability to use as USB mass storage, and have assisted GPS. I believe the front facing camera on the Nexus is also inferior.

Motorola Atrix - have had for about two months. Had one freeze up during boot up sequence and I just stuck it in my pocket. Figured would pull the battery later, but it self corrected. Have had a couple of dropped calls, but probably not phones fault, weak signal area and my face likely at fault.

I didn't notice any other Atrix users here, but I like the phone.

What I have found in the past few years is that the iPhone is great for three types of people, Apple loyalists, smartphone users that want a basic experience with a simplistic UI, and trendy people that feel the need to have "that cool thing everyone else has".

Android phones are great for those of us that like customization, can deal with learning what can be a very complex OS that is gets updates several times a year. Definitely not for the technologically impaired.

That being said I went with Android 2 years ago and haven't looked back. Started with the Droid 1 in December of 2009, bought the Droid X earlier this year, traded that for an LG Revolution and swapped that with my GF for her Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate. I can say that as I progressed through the first three phones I saw the OS and quality of the devices improve. Lag and stability issues are a thing of the past with this mobile OS, I won't say it is superior to IOS, or the other way around, they are both great platforms, just different.
