You are correct. It's not a "4G" phone, Its just the "iphone 4" and it runs iOS 4.
If you get a new phone every year, the $299 = $25/mo or less than $1/day. Thats a small price to pay to have the coolest device in your pocket. It's way less than most of us spend on Ammo!
I skipped the original iPhone because it did not have Exchange support. I had a 16G 3G on launch Day and then a 32G 3Gs on Launch as well. I bet you can't guess what I plan on doing in two weeks?
The only difference is both of my previous iPhone's have been white. White 3G/3Gs still had black glass, so you only saw the white when they were face-down. They were better for fingerprints/smudges. While I haven't seen one in person, the pics of the white iPhone 4 look like something from Nintendo. I'll be going black this time!
