As someone mentioned long before, I use mullvad. Pricey, compared to other common offerings but I’ve been using it for the past year or so and really enjoy it. I use it with Firefox and Ublock Origin, though I will say that some sites don’t like me using a VPN, which can be really annoying to disable, do my business, and then reenable.

Kind of a related question... mullvad/VPN users in general, has google been blocking searches with captchas recently? Cloudflares as well, no clue if it’s a mullvad thing or VPN use in general.

It’s going to be funny when you all discover VPN providers sell logs to whoever.

Correct. Also, from what I understand talking to people, most of them are government owned or backed. Don't think your crap isn't getting logged.... I don't care what they advertise.

I am running into all kinds of websites that won't let me shop because I am using a VPN - Cabela's seems to be the latest. Any work around as I am not turning off the VPN.

You are being way too paranoid. Turn it off when you have to.

There are VPN lists that companies use to deny access. One reason is that nefarious actors like to use a VPN when defrauding a company. I don't blame them at all.

You can try different locations or try a less well known VPN provider. I've built my own VPN setup using an inexpensive virtual server. No issues then as that ip address is not on any list.

Are you sure it's not your ad blocker?

I get a few places and it want me to turn it off

Then there's that. Along with the sites that want me to enable third party cookies. Nope.
