Anyone getting the Samsung Galaxy s8?

I believe that the S8+ and the iPhone 7+ are roughly the same height so you should be happy with it. I front pocket carry the (non-Edge) S7 in a wallet case and with my build the S7 Edge size S8 feels like it'll be at the ragged edge of comfortable front pocket carry for me, but that me and body types vary. I seriously considered the S8+ for belt carry because it is really-really nice. I think you'll love the S8+

Best coverage just depends on where you are. Where I live I can't get a Verizon signal at all while T-Mobile's is strong. From what I've read these days national coverage differences are minor and shrinking fast.

I laid hands on the S8 and the S8+ and while the S8+ tempted me it's just too huge for me to front pocket carry. It'll work great in a purse or on belt holster or a back pocket but not my front pocket.

I was in 4 different metropolitan cities in 4 weeks. I had to call Tmobile twice who had to "reset" my tower to get speeds back to respectable but only temporary. For some reason they thought a new sim card would help. It did not. It was either the upate to android Nougat or their service. I used to get 20 to 40 Mb/s around the bay. Now randomly slows to a crawl for several minutes at a time at those previously fast locations. Phone data becomes useless during that time. I've had enough and they can't make it work. Time to change for me.

Back when 4G just came out I got one of the new 4G phones, it was super fast!!!!! As time went on and more people got 4G phones it obviously slowed down, bummer because I just couldn't believe how fast the new 4G service was. Hopefully 5g will be lightning fast all the time.

My wife's phone just took a dump and we were researching what to get as a replacement. We ended up with a OnePlus 3. I have the Oneplus 1 and it's still going strong. Half the price of Samsung, none of the bloatware, and very similar specs. The only problems with them is that you cannot get very many aftermarket accessories for it if you are into the foo foo cases.

Still rocking my Note 4. Works great with my S3 watch and battery isn't that bad yet. Probably going to wait for the Note 8 at the end of the year.

I've had a Note 8 since 2013 and it's still going strong...great screen, great battery life...no LTE, but the HSPA+ speed is fast enough. Only real negative is that I never could get it to work with either the Gear 2 or Gear S. If they ever come out with an updated version, I'll probably get one.
