Just got back. Still recovering from ALL that walking for 4 days straight. Sounds like no big deal. But it wore me out.
Had a great time. Really enjoyed checking out all the cool new products, meeting big shots in the shooting world, and most importantly finding lots of new suppliers with cool new products to sell.
My father was with me. He bought a video laser simulator for his shooting school (not sure which one) and became an "authorized" Merkel dealer...which is kind of a big deal, they are not a gun you'll find anywhere. He had a friend/customer who wanted to buy several of them which met their buy in requirments. So now he's an authorized dealer. He was very excited about it. Merkel makes really high end hunting rifles and shotguns out of Germany. If anybody is looking to buy one, he is up in Oroville, CA. They are not listed on his website yet as he just got back as well. I think they will be special order, and we have yet to see what there turn around time is, but this should be a pretty cool product for him. But feel free to contact him about it...he'll know much more than I do.

If you ever get a chance to check out iwa show in Germany go it's like shotshot in Vegas but on Germany. It's awesome. We have a booth there as wellComment

I hope some of you went shopping at the LGS's, I found this deal and bought what ever they had, of course I'll be leaving them in Vegas and not bringing them to Ca. They were Tapco's.

Standing in a booth all week is even worse.
We are planning a move to Nevada next year and so during quiet time much thought was devoted to what we would use with the tax stamps we'll be applying for the day we get our Nevada IDs.
My vote was for this, natch, especially since I designed the stock and the forend:

What looks like a ten inch barrel is actually a five inch barrel plus suppressor.
