So far everything I've seen is boring rehash and needs batteries.

I don't get the appeal for handgun-caliber semi auto carbines.

A carbine kicks asss in PISTOL CALIBER ONLY steel matches.

Many use pistol mags which you may already have...so 1 mag type will support 2 firearms.

Pistol ammo is cheaper than most rifle ammo.

I'm really curious to see if the frame is the same. If so the guys that SSEd the .380 G42's are gonna be stoked. With a case length of just 2mm longer for the 9mm I suppose it's possible. The only reason I didn't SSE a 42 was because it was a .380. I'm gonna be kicking myself if it ends up being the same frame.

From the measurements and discussions out there on the web, and me trying to cram a 9x19 round into my G42 frame, it looks to be physically impossible for Glock to reuse the same frame if they come out with a SS9.

Either way, we all have like 1 more day until we find out. I'm sure if there is a new Glock SS9, it'll be on display to shoot at media day this Monday. And if that happens, you know everyone and their mother there will be posting up pics early Monday morning, and those pics will spread like wildfire through out the online gun community.
