Now. Take over? I hardly consider 3 guns a takeover.
I say you have to get to about 50 or maybe 100 guns before you can say takeover.
Or, if you spend the rent or house payment on guns that would be some indication, but you still would need to get to 25 guns.

Ok so don't say build... got it...thx lol. I don't think I have or will say that anyway. I do kinda get that. Putting an AR together is not really a "build", one is buying parts and putting it together. So I would likely say I'm putting together a new AR.

Yeah, I'm not there yet... I should clarify, it hasn't taken over...it is in the early stages of starting to take over. Similar to how my golf stuff took over that space. It used to have storage cabinets and etc that the golf stuff took over.

I'm learning. Today I did signed up for the NRA and went to my first gun show. Like I said I am new but I am quickly learning.

so at the pace I'm going 5 guns in 3 months...I'll be at 25 guns by November next year. Right now only things on my wish list are .308 bolt action, .308 AR, a Wilson Combat 1911, and an AK. So I don't even think I will get to 25 by next year.

Ah that's a nice working area...I see how the shelf can give me better on hand storage instead of having to walk up every time to a cabinet.

I'm thinking of getting a table maybe twice the size you have in pic...but I also might keep it small. One thing I learned is if you have a bigger table and more room than you need to work...it just holds clutter.

I think we would get along pretty good 408 I see the same OCD habits that I have in that pic - I see how the ammo cans are spaced out and arranged lol.

Turning a room into man cave/gun room won't work for me because I love smoking cigars. I can't smoke inside the house so the garage is best for me...

Probably same reason I haven't gotten into reloading yet...I would tinker and clean my guns having a cigar...probably not a good idea having a stogie while reloading

I would advise against smoking while cleaning firearms. Chemicals and lead could easily transfer from your fingers onto you cigar wrapper and then into your mouth through your lungs when it burns and into your mouth by contacting your lips.

I enjoy a good cigar. I am a Padron 1964 Aniversario kind of guy. But I do not smoke while cleaning guns.

Another thing to consider is cleaning guns in an enclosed environment. Especially if you are using aerosols and solvents.

Garage door open or out in backyard.

I do keep the garage door half way open and run a fan for ventilation. I do not open it all the way...just do not want passers by to call me in saying I was brandishing a weapon.

That's my favorite cigar - Padron no.9

I usually light one up, start and get everything out and ready. I disassemble my 1911 and p226 at the same time. This gets me about a third to half way thru my cigar. By the time the Hoppes comes out - it is too messy and the cigar sometimes goes out. Then a bathroom break, wash hands, re-light cigar, then reassemble the guns while smoking. Normally I have one lit when working on stuff, not just when cleaning.

Starting to organize, the ammo cans I got at the show is definitely helping with storage. I need to learn how to post pics instead of the bitmaps.

I used to have a Honda CBR but got in a accident and stopped riding. That was 10+ years ago...

I do have an uncle who has a motorcycle garage but he also started collecting guns early this year. I think he went from having no guns to about 20. I'll see if I have a pic of his garage, he has like 15 bikes. AS many as he can fit in the garage and the rest in the backyard.

He also has the same DMZ line going where the wife still claims half of the garage LOL.

Yeah that is weird, I think 80% of people I know use it for something else. Usually storage, I used to park my car inside but its really a waste of space for me. Of course if I had a really nice car - I would probably park it inside.
