guns taking over my man cave

So I am a newbie from SoCal.

It's hard to imagine I purchased my first firearm in September so its only been 3 months. There are days I have stupid thoughts and think - it's good California has things like 1 handgun every 30 days otherwise I will be really broke but then I curse every time I see a pistol not on the roster and I know the SSE is going away next year. I also get pissed off when I see stupid things like LCI's and etc.

Anyway, wanted to share some pics and see if any of you long time collectors and enthusiasts have found a way to fit your stuff cleanly into a man cave.

There are some pics of what my man cave used to look like.

I am a big golf nut but like I said I got into firearms in September and it is getting out of hand and taking over my garage.

I now alternate between golf and shooting.

The gun stuff is just messy - cleaners, bore snake, tools, little parts like springs and etc.

If anyone has a man cave with their work bench and safe that's organized pretty well - please share.

I've got a pic of the guns I have so far, my favorite is definitely my first pistol the 1911 SA MCOP. I definitely see more 1911's in the collection but I decided to get a glock 30S for my last SSE this year. I'm also wanting to get a .308 just debating wether to go bolt action or AR platform.

I don't know how I got to this point...this is a disease. I have to slow down or by this time next year I might have to get 2 big safes for all of this.

it "was" sweet until I started using the space to tinker with my guns. I used to love hanging out in the cave but now I just see clutter from the guns

It's still pretty sweet and tidy. If I showed you pics of my man cave you would die from a heart attack. It is more of a, how would you say, ground zero direct hit to Fred Sanfords junk yard type man space.

I could use your organizational skills for a day or so. What are you doin the next couple of weekends?

Looks good. My garage was full of truck/rockcrawler/toyota junk so I had a whole bedroom of gun stuff.

Almost everything is in a storage unit or friends house while I'm unhapply renting a room.

Sealocan, the golf sim was cool for about 3 months but it never got much use after that. Just doesn't compare to being out there on the course.

I did get real good use out of it when I hooked up my direct TV and PlayStation though. Great for movies - hooked it up with 7.1 and a real big subwoofer that shakes the whole house lol.

the big cylinder thing is the sub...it rocks the whole house...you also see the other side...you can see the line that I can't cross...the third car garage is where my wife parks and I can't cross that line. It's like a N. Korea/S. Korea kinda thing, an imaginary Berlin wall...lol

She did let me put a dart board on that side though...but it would have been awesome if she would just park outside and I can put a pool table or ping pong table on that side...or put all my gun stuff on that side lol

haha..let me try and see if some kind of lease would work with her.

I am wanting a proper work bench. I have a vice that's just sitting on the floor right now and it's preventing me from grinding down and polishing the loading port on the Mossberg shottie.

Tool box is on the corner...I'm using a whole bunch of old cigar boxes where I keep sear jig, stones, extra springs and other small parts...

Many years ago I worked in a golf shop. We had a simulator and the boss was always trying to keep us out of it. . He couldn't even leave for lunch.

The golf sims at the shops usually run about $3-5k. The one I got is probably the most decent entry level you can get for about $1200.

Other costs that add up are the screen, projector, and mat. I saved a little as it was a DIY - I built the frame and wrapped in foam and vinyl (pleather). I got an old HD (720p) projector from my work they were throwing away that needed a lamp. You need a computer/laptop, it actually works with out the hitting screen you just look at the computer. The module I have has driving range mode and etc but it only comes with 2 courses they charge $200 for a new course. You can also hook up EA Tiger Woods golf game to it (PC based).

Like I said I don't use it, if you are local to me I can loan it out to you to try it and if you like it I would trade for a glock 19 or something similar you can part with
