I would think it would be valuable tool after a shoot out to determine which LEOs fired which shots from which area/direction.
Sure, shells eject for a ways and bounce around like little footballs and not always exactly the same each time and gun might itself in moving, etc but it is SOMETHING.
At least they would know and be able to prove which shells weren't from LEO's guns.
Is it such a 'no go' in the real world that CA legislature knows anyone required to have MS pistols will soon be without pistols?
PS-And shouldn't cops be the FIRST group to be required to have guns that pass extra safety tests like a Drop Test, since they are more likely to be wresting/fighting while carrying a gun (with lots of totally innocent bystanders) than typical Joe Blow taking his Safe Queen to the range once a month. Couldn't a Loaded Chamber Indicator have saved CA greatest citizen, the late Oscar Grant???
