Turners Outdoors in Pasadena CA. (UPDATE)

I've bought from Turners in Pasadena and had nothing but friendly, helpful service. I've also come in several times to ask questions, and didn't buy anything, and again they were very willing to answer questions in a friendly manner. Obviously, Jennifer took what you said to be suspicious (perhaps a straw purchase?), and they did not want to deal with that. However, the way they handled this situation sounds very heavy handed. Like others, I'd be interested in what the corporate folks have to say. Please post when you hear from them.

When I complained a vendor on the forums; one of their defenders also had a pretty low post count. Pretty sure he was the guy I was complaining about.

Turner's is like the Kmart of gun stores - typical stuff at typical prices - and if they disappeared nobody would really care. The only time I've ever gone to a Turner's for anything was for PPT's because it was the closest FFL that's open sort of late, and once or twice to see if they had any powder. They only seem to cater to desert plinkers and tacticool dudes. I will say this, though, the store in West Covina had a decent stock of supplies and ammo when I was there several months back.

Sorry to hear about your experience. Have to agree with some of the guys hear there hit and miss some are cool. For me you represent an organization when your wearing the uniform there not franchised (i think) so one bad apple spoils the whole basket, take your buisness elsewhere unless they do good by you. Usually when someone complains about them the respond in thread (dont see that here) hmmm

To the OP... why are you ranting here on CG? Call the corporate office and get your money back. Move on. None of us here 1) know you personally, nor 2) do we know Turner's side of the story either.

By you ranting the way you did and asking people here to BLINDLY take up your argument against Turner's, leads me to reasonably suspect that you were more than likely the root of your own problem at Turner's.

Don't patronize them in the future if you're not happy with the lack of service you think you received. Plain and simple.

dobie, I would seriously try getting your money back if it's truly been a bad experience. If you got a good deal, which may be possible at Turner's at times, then it's understandable not wanting to deal with the paperwork and DROS again.

These two guys hijack this thread, They call BS on how i was treated by Turners employes. They Question my credibility, And it turns out... They have no credibility. They forget to mention their relationship with the employees at Turners Pasadena until now. They go shooting together?? WOW!

Ummm . . . I don't know Elias Barrios. I've never been to Turner's. I live about 300 miles away. You're just making this stuff up as you go along, aren't you?

I have done several transfers there over the years and I never experienced what you described. I think you spooked them and that is why their attitude changed.

even if they did suspect him of being a straw purchaser, if the manager's reaction was as alarmist and full of tough guy bravado as the way the OP makes it sound in his description, then it was highly unprofessional and I would definitely contact Corporate.

I respect a businesses having the right to refuse service, but the customer still deserves respect even if they are suspicious. Unless OP lost his cool, which is possible, I only read one side of the story.

Condorguns, You sure are anxious for me to get a refund. I'm pretty sure I responded to your post. Let me try again... I have e-mailed corporate and I have called corporate. They have not responded. If they have not responded, How could I have asked for a refund. Take a little time so you can think about that.

If I decide to take my purchase and never return or if i decide to ask for a refund have nothing to do with how my family was mistreated.
