A buddy's brother in law got to talking guns the other day:

"Aimpoint's suck" followed by "I don't need back up iron sights". Same guy that was offered a SMOKING deal on 5.56 but wanted to know what the bullet weight was first.

That was me; I said that tongue in cheek because the 10/22 would have fit the description of an assault rifle in the first drafts of the assault weapons ban. Ok, it didn't pass this time, but I don't want to own one in case they do pass such a ban and I can't take it anywhere because it's defined as an assault weapon. Besides, everybody knows the 10/22 Takedown is for taking down bad guys.

I have a Marlin 39A that comes apart for storage, and it's not called the Marlin 39A Takedown.

First off, I wasn't trying to be malicious if that was indeed you but that was funny. I'm not passing judgment, but like I said, that was pretty funny. Just so we're on the same page, what gun store were we at?

However, with that being said, I have something else recently heard from a gun owner I'd like to add:

By the way, you were buying ammo, not bullets. Somebody tell him the difference; I'm never going back there.

At a gun show this past weekend from a vendor selling complete uppers "FN does not make barrels. PSA makes barrels for FN". I walked away...

A few yeas ago at USI, I overheard, watched a guy giving instructions to his two friends of who must of been first time shooters to the ak pattern rifles. Blah blah ak this blah blah ak that. Then he blerts out slam the "clip" in and shoot it like COD.

The funny thing is, he's a well know calgunner who don't post much or has been banned. I recognised him from one of the photos he has posted here before.

Who was it? Out him!
