My favorite has to be a guy I know who wants to SSE two 45 ACP Hi Points before years end.

Also I have heard "I have a Kel Tec. The one the U.S. Military uses."

I don't like to laugh at fellow gun owners, or what they choose to own.

I used to be like that, but realized that if they enjoy themselves then who am I to judge?

Several week ago I saw two guys putting a bipod on a Sig to test hand loads. They where shooting at 5 yards and I think the best they managed on a bipod was maybe 1.5" at 5 yards. Eventually one of the guys took the bipod off and shot a dime sized group at 7 yards off hand.

I could not figure out why he needed the bipod....

As a Glock guy I have to agree that is funny to see.

But I find it funnier when they trash my Glocks and speak how their sig, 1911, beretta what have you can shoot a 1" group at 25 yards then watch them tactical shoot a 3' group on a human silhouette at 10 yards then try to educate the range from stall to stall on how to operate and shoot tactically.


Or the guy who racks his 12g and tells all his new shooters that's the deadliest sound in the world

My favorite, "military ammo shoot about 20,000 fps." Its true, I heard it from my military friend who is a LCpL... so its got to be right.

(Not saying the military men are stupid, just him.)

Haha I saw something similar at a range once... Actually twice. Hispanic fella with a Colt 1911 and a gun show 15rd mag. He was using the bottom of the mag as a stand to keep the gun steady.

Another time I saw 2 guys in one lane with an AR15. Guy 1 was shooting off a bipod at 7 yards and scratching his head because his scope was off. Guy 2 was his spotter! Guy 1 used to come in our store and buy 1 box of .223 ammo at a time. He got the nickname "hip-hop cowboy".

A guy at Trader's all those years ago when they sold guns... Setup: He wanted to buy some ammo at the counter for an unknown type of 40 cal pistol.

"I don't want any of that ammo with a flat point, I want that aerodydamic ammo, I can tell the difference between it and that flat stuff".

I don't think there was anything BUT Truncated cone or Hollow points at that point, the 40 cal was still pretty new. Hell, I still can't tell the difference between RN and Hollow points or Flat points.. this guy must have been really special.
