What do you drink while cleaning your guns?

Standard rule i follow and will never break: never touch any firearm while under the influence of any mood altering substance. never!

That would suck if someone came into your home to do you/your family harm while you were enjoying a beer...after the guns have been cleaned and put away of course. What would you do?

Sometimes I'm tired after work and I find it therapeutic to clean something. Fatigue is mind altering too.

I melt froglube and have a mint cocktail.

This for the win!

I boil hot water to clean my AK's, mosins, and other corrosive ammo residue, and I make a nice cup of FroggyLube Tea with the rest. Don't wanna waste water now!

Water/soft drinks/flavored water----Note there is no booze listed.
Booze and guns/tools do not mix well.

Of those that mix drinking with gun cleaning, how many do you think have more than their fair share of alcohol each week? My guess is at least 90%.

Otherwise, why do it?

Well, I never mix booze with firearms in any manner whatsoever. I also don't clean my guns that often, I shoot too much. With that said, when I do, usually a nice cup of French or Italian roast.

It is Ruou gao for me. Nothing cheap, just the good stuff from Binh thuan Province. Be sure to use long bamboo straws from Phan Thiet City so you don't contaminate your hooch.

And for the longer cleaning sessions, don't forget to munch on little bits of salted & dried squid and pickled pigs feet dipped in tamarind sauce.

Nothing. Why in the heck would I want consumable liquids anywhere near where gun cleaner, lead deposits, gun oil, etc., are flying around.

Trollish IMO, but I'll answer. I never drink alcohol while shooting or handling firearms, this includes cleaning. Just plain stupid.

I never drink other than a soft drink when I handle my firearms. If I NEED a drink in the hours I work on my guns I'd think I have a problem.
