Cleaning - that mag isn't going to insert itself and chamber a round. House Bourbon and a tasty mixer.

Reloading - Mtn Dew.

Given the thought processes here, I'll never set foot into the garage again thinking that the chainsaw will start itself and take one of my limbs off.

No one's saying tools start working by themselves. It's the person who's had a drink and then starts handling said tools that's the worry. It's not ignorance, it's called being smart and not taking stupid chances. I mean really, why is it so hard not to have an alcoholic beverage while messing around with potentially lethal machinery? Stupid mistakes are made all the time, why raise the odds?

Because a drink isn't going to cause that, and it isn't going to raise the odds of anything.

Now if your idea of a drink is a box of wine, a 6 pack, or something else along those lines... then yeah maybe you shouldn't ever be drinking while doing anything other than operating the remote control for your TV.
