This happened to me one time. I was selling my Scar .22 we agreed on i believe $450 i get down there (which is a drive) then he offers me $300 before leaving. Charming.
There are few of us that can easily surrender our belief that society must somehow make sense. The concept that the state has completely lost it's mind is intolerable, therefore the evidence has to be denied.

If it ever happens to me, my plan is to just turn around and walk away.

My brother is even more no-nonsense. Once at a garage sale a lady haggled him in some kind if statue he was selling. He got to his bottom price and wouldn't budge further. She kept pestering for him to go lower so he finally told her "lady, I will smash this into a million pieces before I ever sell it to you for ANY price". And with that, he stood up and smashed that thing into a million pieces in his driveway!

Nobody is buying any gun, without seeing it. Even the gun trading websites allow for inspection of the gun when received. So the deal is not finalized until there is a physical inspection.
If the gun is as presented, I would continue with the deal but if the gun is not as described I have the option of passing on the deal or starting fresh. It's very common for sellers to rate the condition of the gun more favorably than is warranted.

What are you talking about? I have bought and sold on Gunbroker and an inspection period isn't required.

When I sell, I take dozens of fantastic photos of every part and am happy to provide more. I post detailed descriptions. What I don't do is accept returns.

Never had any bad feedback from any of my deals on here, gunbroker, gunboards or arf.com.

I have had a few awkward moments in 200+ transactions with CG members. I don't recall this exact incident, but I would cancel and walk away if "last minute lowballed" like that. Even if I drove far and had no secondary buyer I'd still walk just to make the. point.

For some reason, sentences that start with "Can you do...." really irritate me. I just hate that phrase. I have PM'd below asking offers but if I get no reply it is not a big deal. I have ignored lots of PM's and I have lots of low information CG'ers on /ignore too.

              Good Times....

As a few have said here if someone tries to offer less to me at time of PPT for no other reason than to get a better deal my price goes up by the same amount. ZERO joking. I don't have time for that kind of childish BS. Those same people tend to be the type to demand top dollar when they're selling their stuff.

I am having more trouble like this also. I have been using gunbroker lately. Seems to work better for me these days.

When placing an ad, here is my wording ($100 is used as example):

WTS [whatever], price is $100 if you want to buy, $130 if you want to dicker about it.
                        Tire kickers gonna kick,
                        Nose pickers gonna pick
I and others know the real

I was able to successfully sell a xbox through here when I had a itrader rating or 0. All I had was my word. All questions and negotiations were done online via PM. Once an agreement was made, then we were each responsible to adhere to our word. Fortunately for me, the buyer gave me a chance and sent me the money. Then I did my part and sent the item.

There was another time when I listed a dresser on Craigslist. Since the item was damaged, I figured that it's only fair to allow the person to inspect and give them the option to take it as is, or leave it. There was no haggling with the price because I listed it "as is". She chose to walk away and I was perfectly fine with it. It didn't cost me any gas money since we met at the mall that happens to be across from my apartment. I would never meet up with someone if it'll take more than 1 minute of my time to get there, when selling an "as is" item.
