How do I stop buying guns?

I just wanted a pistol. That was two years ago. Now I have a 22, 9mm, .45, 22 rifle, 223 AR, and a 308. But my 308 isn't shooting well, so now I want another 308. Unfortunately, my local shop has a beautiful used Browning A-Bolt Target for $1250 and I think I must have it.
Being that I already have a few rifles, and that $1250 is a good chunk of change, I should not buy it. But on the other hand, it's a beauty...
Help (maybe).

Let your wife handle all monies in the house. Problem solved.sigpic

Face it, like a lot of us you have an addiction... You are a gunalcoholic
When I got married over twenty years ago my then wife said three things she !would never allow me to do, 1) Be a cop 2) Own a motorcycle 3) Own a gun
I have since divorce that crazy B!&($ and now I have an ever increasing collections of handguns, rifles, shotguns and carbines. Next maybe a motorcycle, but first I have to stop buying guns. Lastly I'm a little to old to become a cop, but I have the upmost respect for most of those in the profession. Damn her I always wanted to be a Motorcycle cop [
well I guess two out three isn't so bad!

You're also missing a lot of milsurps, revolvers, and lever actions. Oh, and like the other person said, you're missing a nice shotgun.I just wanted a pistol. That was two years ago. If you wanna stop buying guns, marry a 22 year old babe and tell her you have some money. You will never be able to buy anything for yourself again.

No such thing. You only run out of money when you don't have a job.
Otherwise. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover are your loyal friends.
Don't worry, buy away. Who loves you more than you? Treat yourself right! If you don't, who will?

You should've been a motorcycle cop right before the divorce just to get her to pop a vein.Face it, like a lot of us you have an addiction... You are a gunalcoholic

Make a rule: You can't browse for a new gun until you've found where you've hid all your old guns. (I'm still trying to locate a couple as I type this.)Comment

buy something basic and easy to work on yourself
I say take a Savage Axis or Ruger 10/22 and strip of everything but the action and then build something only you can dream up. Both designs are very popular with aftermarket accessories and you can do most everything yourself. It keeps you focused and may not be all that much cheaper than buying guns but you won't run out of space in your gun cabinet.Comment
