I've been going to ASR for almost 20 years. A few weeks ago on a Tuesday
I was on the rifle range. During a ceasefire I put my Colt M4 type
on the back bench with the right side facing up. I wasn't really paying attention
to the guy next to me. He steps up to me and says, something fell off my
rifle. I look and don't see anything obvious, upon closer examination I see
a silver colored disc(that looks like an oversize rifle primer) inserted in my
mag release/bullet button. I pull it out and see it is a magnet. I hand it back
to him telling him "I don't want it ". He then proceeds to tell me it's ok and
it's legal. He then flashes a badge (OC county sheriff)again explaining it is completely legal.I
tell him I don't agree and packed up moving over to the pistol range. I have no
idea what was going on just passing it along, feel free to throw the bull siht
flag! Just an FYI if such things concern you. Pete
