I think I've changed my mind over the last 8 years. My loyalty is to the nation, its constitution, freedom, and right to live - not to any particular gang of people who don't believe in all these rights.

And with the crazy people, and double standards we have in the office (ex: Senator Lealand Lee) I don't know how everyone else is blind. He would've been hung in some countries - he had a huge speech (and bills) on "assault weapons" and "gun control". I can see why he wanted that - so he can own rights to ALL assault weapons and sell them in black market (not to mention, taking bribes, smuggling, and other illegal actions on his part). America is losing its values when we allow "such people" to run us. WOW... what a leader we had. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/californ...-federal-raid/

And we have many more like that in our system, who ***** about unnecessary things, and ignore the REAL issues. We have the strongest military and yet people with backpacks and sleeping bags can easily jump our borders into the country, and we can't protect or stop that from happening. And if anyone is caught, our security will let them in for a small $$, and in some cases assist them in crossing over. Moreover, they will make future deals, like next time pay (certain $$) and we will let you bring your buddies/families too. Do any politicians NOT SEE the layered affects our nation has from just this ONE issue: more crime, hurting economy, losing jobs, more welfare, more splurging of our resources, reckless drivers, gangs, and on and on. This doesn't happen as easily & frequently in ANY country on the planet !! To visit most countries you need a valid Visa. This like having a huge guard dog tied in your backyard who can only bark, but leaving the front door wide open - that is not a security system.

Unless we, the people, stand for our rights, the idiots will run our nation down. We used to be the #1 nation, until we started selling ourselves & resources to others - Let's focus on the Big picture.

Do you mean the totally made up and ambiguous "Assault Weapons" definition that the Legislature adds at will more and more firearms to, such as last year trying to add all semi-automatic pistols and rifles, centerfire and rimfire, trying to make a Ruger 10/22 a defined "Assault Weapon"

Does a freaking shotgun fall under the same, hope not. I'm getting me a 8-shot Mossberg. A 223 Remington 700 bolt action...just in case.

the liberal media will always make the conservative seem like a clown. i cannot think of a republican that would have done a worse job as PREZ as Obama.
i never really had a problem with S P or even Mc Cain over Obama. This guy is a train wreck.

If you don't mind - from where, when, how much. BIG5 has full size Mossy 500 for $309 this week. I might buy it tomorrow. Funny how guys on the forum have used 12G guns asking for more.. That's funny.

                That's a good deal. I paid $360 + tax & fees about a year ago.

I have 30 or so 10 round. Still would rather have a few 45 rounders...

Do I need a bullet button if I ditch the pistol grip?

If Calguns members don't even know an assault rifle from a semiautomatic modern sporting rifle, how do we expect John Q. Public to ever understand exactly why these bans are a trampling of their rights.
We know it. Just some of us no more believe there is such a thing as an assault rifle as there is an assault weapon.

legal fictions and propaganda terms... both. If we're going to accept assault weapon as a valid idea / thing; when are we renaming our light infantry 'stormtroopers'?

if you ditch the evil features; yes you can get rid of of the BB. But its more than just the pistol grip.

You nailed it Chris. And it was Ronald Reagan who got the ball rolling.

Yes..that's it. Reagan is the reason you have to have a bullet button, rosters, and ammo registration. Lol.
