I would not even point a finger at Republican legislators. The whacko liberal senators that all these hippies voted for hate us. C'mon, California was birthplace of the Hippie movement.

My intuition tells me no, unless of course the composition of our legislature is significantly altered. Still, I hate to vote "conservative" solely on the arms issue.

      Any thoughts?

There is nothing wrong with 10-rounder's.

Just carry more of them than you would if they were 30-rounder's.

          Exactly.

Funny thing, in this case, the gun owners of California are a minority which the majority has repeatedly attempted to repress through the Legislature.

The courts are the only solution, in such a state of circumstances.

My least favorite one being RR -- although at the time I believe he had not yet flipped to GOP. Even so, he was still flying his true colors early on.

Under that way of thinking, with the AR's being so immensely popular, they could be and should be ruled as protected as well.

We'll need to wait and see if such a case ever happens.

Right now all the adjudication at the CCA's and the SCOTUS is handgun (pistol and revolver) related however.

As to whether they ever get to carbines, that would be up to the NRA to find a good lawsuit and fund it, like Peruta.

I wish they would ban them all. Lets burn this down. The frog in boiling water is 1/2 there.

Ban all rifles and pistols that are above .22 and not a single shot.

Maybe then it will get all liberty minded folks off th4 fence about....I dont need an ar15..my side by side is plenty

And what are we dealing with right now? Micro stamping which was signed by a republican after California got a democrat kicked out of office.

Who cares who has been running this state. We are dealing with gun laws signed by democrats and REPUBLICANS!!! But I guess you are ok with that since a republican hasn't been governor since 2011, wow that was a long time ago! And before Arnold there was a republican as governor only 4 years prior to him.

So your point is not only wrong but you don't care about what the republicans have done to our gun rights. And you must also realize that California has been ran by a republican governor longer than a democrat governor. And when have any of those republicans done anything for our gun rights?

Open your eyes and see the truth, or keep them shut and stay blind.

It wasn't too long ago that you couldn't buy any type of "assault rifle" in CA, bullet button or no. I expect a back and forth on it and it to eventually go away, but with greater restrictions on pistols in the future.

I think the 10 round mag limit is in for the long haul.

all up to the people. the more we act hopeless and that liberal/commies control us, the more power they will continue to grab and dictate.

                          You put it kindly!
California's politicians and unionized government employees are a crime gang that makes the Mexican drug cartels look like a Girl Scout Troop in comparison.

Expect nothing in this state to get better. Just expect the list of "evil guns" to grow in order to vilify more and more of what we have.

15 years ago, I owned one so-called "assault rifle" and I registered it like a good citizen. Now, a few of my rifles would be considered "assault weapons" by the media and the gun grabbers, even though they were just regular rifles back then. I expect everything I own to be classified as an "assault weapon" within my lifetime.
                            So sad...

sounds like we need to be good AMERICANS instead of just good citizens and keep fighting through debate, elections and court system. Let's not overlook the ground given back to us with the Peruta decision. There's still a lot more ground to be gained back in November.

Perhaps we should stop calling them assault rifles first, since they're not really assault rifles. The whole reason why politicians are able to pass such crappy legislation is because they are more able to get public support if they use misnomers like "assault rifles" to confuse the public.
