I don't know what kind of lowbrow ranges you frequent, but the club I go to requires a smoking jacket, and we are light up during cease fires.

My wife caught a hot piece of brass between her boobs once at an indoor range, she held her pistol down range with one hand and scooped the ****er out with the other. It was epic.

She has a tiny white scar now.

When I was in the military we were doing quals with the M16 on an indoor national guard range, one guy caught a piece of brass right down his uniform shirt, the old Coast Guard uniform being a V-neck back then, he spun around in a circle while sweeping everyone and shouting an amazing string of swear words.

Everyone on the line dropped on their face or one knee, and he eventually threw the rifle on the concrete and fished the offending brass out. He got an *** chewing like Id never seen.

That was my introduction to gun safety.

Pants would probably be a good idea as well, not as bad as cooking bacon without pants, but hot brass on your gun and two bullets wouldn't feel real good

Flat billed hat, basketball jersey, baggy calf length shorts, and Addidas flip flops with socks. My gold medallion necklace has a long point on one end that serves as a bullet button tool. My range safety glasses have a white frame too (custom order).

Some people don't like shooting next to me because I like to grunt or go "yeh!" or "uuh!" after each shot.
