I don't think there were lessons learned at LAX. Another mental health issue, people continue to ignore it...blame semi auto rifles.... I personally hate the TSA, not to the point I want them harmed I just think they should be out of work. One time I was flying with my Bass guitar with a TSA approved lock (meaning they have the keys to open it.) When I landed at my destination I picked up my bass guitar case and the built in lock was dismantled and destroyed. Those cases are pretty pricy and they destroyed mine and wouldn't even fix their mistake. F the TSA, freaking idiots.

Agreed, and the best way to get good guys with guns nearby is to allow more good guys to have guns

Don't ever buy anything with a TSA approved lock, they all use the same key. Having no lock is just as secure. If you need to lock something up while flying just declare a firearm and lock it in the same case.

First line of defense continues to be family, friends and neighbors. If you know someone that's having a hard time, say something.

              You are 100% right!

All of those "active shooters" were just plain nuts!!!!

              Nuts on loose!!!!

In America today it is very common to hear , " Well, he (or she) is KIND OF DIFFERENT" .
How different? VERY different? At what point do parents have to start paying attention?

              Very,very sad.

                Lesson learned:

We are incredibly fortunate/lucky the murdered was discriminate in his choice of only TSA victims.

Good men with guns are needed to stop evil men intent on murder

+1 or 2. It is NEVER mentioned that we have to do something about mental health to prevent violence. It's ALWAYS about banning guns. Common sense and Anti's are two words that don't go together.

And another lesson learned....never admit you're a TSA agent
