Also feel free to list those idiots by name here so everyone knows not to go to Dick's in Clovis. Although I don't know why anyone goes to Dicks period. Plenty of decent local gun stores that would be happy to have your business.

I haven't heard anything good about them. I work at an archery place and people keep having to bring bows they bought from them to us to have work done and be setup, and their prices have been average so far, but some has been low quality for the same price as other places with better quality bows.

So I called corporate today, basicly they said the store didn't feel comfortable selling it in my situation. Then I asked them well so if more than two person show up to the gun counter someone is asking the questions and translating for the other person does that constitute a straw purchase? If more than two people show up does that constitute a possible straw sale? He says that if they feel uncomfortable with it they can refuse the sale. Then I asked why did the manager looking guy offer to sale the gun to me only, even after I told him the gun was not for me, doesn't that constitute a straw sale? blah blah blah he said he would call the store.

Naw he was the second guy I flag down to help us after he got done with a customer at register, he looked like zombie just spaced out. I guess this is the common theme I have to flag someone down for service. Dicks just went to my boycott list.

Problem: Our LGS dont carry hunting rifles or shotguns worth a damm. I dont order because they dont want the business period. PRK, Range, and many other stores refuse to take special orders since sandy hook. Well since sandy hook I take my $$$$ to PTP sales now.

Yep I know, all my previous purchases were from LGS, everyone whom I've taken to look and buy were LGS. Taking my mom and brother to dicks was just an impulse thing cause they had just gotten their hunter's safety class done on saturday.

I think they're gonna lose more than 10k x 50 just from first cousins and friends alone who hunt. One generation up two down and its gonna be in the thousands with friends and family who hunt, fish, camp, do sports stuff.

dude my step bro and i got into it with those dicks at dicks in clovis. i was gonna buy him a shotgun for his 21 birthday. he wanted a remington 870 and said that he saw one at that store. so we go in and tried to get their attention and was basically ignored for 20 mins. finally some douche with spikey hair comes over and talks to us. i told him that my step brother was interested in getting the 870 they had on the wall. immediately the clerk got all defensive and asked who was buying me or my bro. so i told him that i would be paying and my brother would be handling the paperwork. he immediately said it was a straw purchase and that he would not even let me look at the shotgun. i asked him did he even know the definition of a straw purchase and he looked clueless. rudest piece of crap i ever encountered at a gun store.
