A guy who needs to carry a gun to pick up trash is mental. Open carry with his tacticool gear makes people nervous. Normal people do not walk down the street all geared up for war, 2nd amendment or not.

There's no mention the guy has any training whatsoever. All they say is that he's from a military family. If that's the case, why doesn't he just join the military or police force?

This whole "it's for the children" narrative is propaganda , There are plenty of urban areas where people don't have to open carry b/c they can conceal. I see nothing wrong with what the guy is doing. Weather I like it or not is nor relevant. I respect the right.

I never realized there were so many extremists on this board willing to make excuses and ignore anything and everything involving a gun just to smell their own stink. edit: And before you can come up with some lame comment about violent felons and guns again, I fully support government sponsored high speed bullet delivery to probably 90% of the violent felons out there. Unfortunately we just release them by the thousands instead.

I'll bet there's almost no crime in that neighborhood that kid patrols. I wish we had someone like that looking out for us in my neighborhood. At least he is there which is more than I can say for the police.

What I saw in the video appeared to be a pretty nice and quiet looking neighborhood, not a crime ridden ghetto. No Escalades in the background, but then again, there's hardly any cars to be seen anywhere. Everyone must be at work, or parked in their garages. The houses didn't look cheap, and they even had sidewalks. I don't even have a sidewalk on my street here in uber-urban CA.

So yeah, you might be right. There's probably no crime there. There probably wasn't any there before the kid started walking around.
