There were some businesses owned by old Korean men who were Korean War vets. They all brought out the SKSes.

I can't blame them. They didn't go looking for trouble. Trouble came to them and they fought back. I think they should have taken cover though.

I remember seeing one of them on the roof with an UZI carbine, but I haven't been able to find video of it online.

Wow looks like keeping my current stock of just enough ammo for the next range trip won't work for a situation like that.

Imagine shooting one looter, and attracting 50 more!

Also, that gym bag seems to be slung over his left shoulder. Filled with magazines, I expect it was.

What about the tens of thousands, if not more, legal ARs that were registered before 2000? Those are legal and GTG.

However holding one and being in front of a LEO is another story, whether legal AW or OLL.

I use to be surprised at the stupidity of people, now that I'm a little older I realized that there is no limit on how stupid a person can be. Watching those video is starting to look like Blackhawk down.

Now for the next california riot, I can already see the calgunners pulling out their OLL. If in koreatown the koreans will be more prepared this time.

I don't know if I'd be worried about that. However, an illegal AW would be an issue if you were put in the unfortunate position of firing on someone. It might be a problem in a post-riot investigation.

I'm with you: I'd rather have a legal firearm.

fwiw: Learn from the past. It can & has happened, be prepared & stay sharp/smart.

Those that stood there ground = GAINED EVERYTHING
Those that were ill prepared = LOST EVERYTHING

                  911 became 411 then ______

                  * LE as today were/are outnumbered. I respect the soldiers/officers that stayed/protected & did what they could with what they had. They had no chance against "LA" Imagine = 10,000 LEO vs. 3,000,000 that we "KNOW OF".

As with the above. RESPECT, not agreeing with all actions, the AMERICAN KOREANS that stood their ground.

I'm surprised they didn't have BRs... if there is ever a time to break one out, it seems like that would be the time. I am reminded that I still need to get some decent body armor for emergencies too.
