Also I didn't take pictures but the front of the door is no longer drywall, it's 1/2" solid wood.

When I was filling all the gaps with the foam I drilled pressure release holes but it still messed up all my drywall. So I just reinforced the entire thing and did solid wood.

I'd look I to moving them in the garage but buy a metal box the contractors put in the back of their trucks and bolt it into the ground. It would be pretty secure then and it wouldn't look like a safe and ammo cans cannot be seen.
That is a damn good idea! I'm going to start cruising craigslist for one. Thanks sir!

No worries. Do this get the steel looking one I think they are made by knack? They are the brown looking ones and built very well. With all the ammo and the bolts in the ground they'll need a crane to move it.

Nice. I've looked at some newer chromed out Knack ones before when I had my truck and they went for a decent chunk of change. More than I want to put into something that bolting to garage floor. The one in the pic would be perfect. Will def look for one of those

How secure are the rifles in that rack?

It looks like for the shorter/slimmer ones (the third and fourth ones from the right) you could just slide the stock off the lower shelf and pull them out from the bottom.

No you can't, you'd have to bend the lower support or cause damage to the rifle.

It took me and 2 others 15 min to get into a gang box like that.no steal on the wall? My brother in law's studio got broken into. They broke through the drywall to get into it then unlocked the door

                              Nice work.

Im starting to believe that is' better to keep the safe hidden..

So that it's not even discovered to attempt to steal.

Or be searched by anyone. OUT of sight, out of mind.

Not steel/concrete, just heavily built with almost solid wood. Also since the door will be swinging towards you and will take the entire space you see it will be almost impossible to kick in. Especially since it will have a metal stop and the magnetic lock on the other side.
This looks good Baboosh. Great idea and clever use of space. If there was any way to put a room like this in my double-wide mobile home I'd do it. But for now, everything just gets buried in trash bags under the front porch.
