Started on my gun room

This is all I can come up with for storage of the Vector pistol. It's not locked and that isn't sitting well with me but I'm not sure how else to store it.



I guess it could be the sacrificial gun lol

Maybe a steel rod out of the wall (welded to a plate, plate bolted to wall)
Rod through trigger guard, circle metal plate with pistol between plate and wall, padlock through hole in rod end keeping plate secure?

What did you use to rubberize the racks I'm still amazed at those racks. Did you do those yourself? Also I ain't got enough firepower to try messing around up in that area ill stay down here with the poor folks at hillside lol

I was thinking that or just a mount on the door and a cable lock. Run it through magazine well, through mount and then lock it.

I like the long rifle rack you made. I want to convert a 8 foot Computer Server Cabinet to a gun display case, but I want a steel cage inside it for security. I may go your route for that.

Yes but then I loose the ability to open the door a complete 90*.

I am going to hand something on the door, thinking of a wrought iron gate. Just something to break it up more.

You could just give it to me and I can keep it in my safe.

I would guess that a cable lock would be sufficient enough to delay them while your alarm goes off. Even better if you could attach it to a trip wire that drops a hornets nest from above.

Man, this is inspiring...my old home came with a 12'x12' basement where the previous owner processed film (dark room), it's been a wine storage area and I've been kicking around ideas like the topic of this thread for awhile now.

Problem for me though is that the only door to the basement is from the outside
