    Bad pistol transaction NEED ADVICE.

purchased a bad a s s revolver. looked at it all crisp and BRAND NEW. filled out paper work waited 14 days because of work. picked it up not thinking twice about it when your spending this much money on a pistol you figure all is well, my mistake. got home and the pistol had extensive use, anodizing wore completely off in normal friction areas. some rust pitting on forward part of housing. called the manager he said owner won't be back till Wednesday. he said he will " make it right" . In the mean time they have my money I have a used gun. what should I do. I don't want to go off half cocked so I am asking for advice. thanks

Wait to see what they have to offer before flipping out.

Also sounds like you didn't inspect it very well to start with.

yes inspection was my fault. the baby was sleeping so I waited in the car. the gun was new when we bought it.

Are you saying it got used between the time you purchased it and the time you picked it up?

Yes they have a range. I think that may be the case. when we looked at the gun it was new. It was displayed with the new guns I would not pay 1269 msrp for a used pistol. I am still trying to wrap my head around how and why this happened. TOTAL FAIL.

post some pics of the worn areas.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.

So, was it a pistol or a revolver?

Worn off anodizing, rust pitting? All in a mere 15 days?......I'm calling bull ship on this one.

Either they swapped the gun you looked at with a use one or your story doesn't work as far as I can understand.

I've heard this many times lately. Best thing I've heard to do is put a lock on it of your choosing and leave it that way. If its a bolt gun, I take the bolt with me while it is in DROS at my local shop. The place I use only really has one employee, and he wouldn't do that to me because he knows how anal I am and actually checks stuff out for me before I get there and tells me what is going on with it already. I have a savage .22 in jail right now and before I got there, he said there is a little bitty scratch near the muzzle. I got there and barely noticed it, but glad he pointed it out.
