How is this NOT an SBR?

SIG SAUER is introducing a new product this week for AR-pistols that may well change the way you look at these guns. According to SIG SAUER, the SIGTac SB15 ...

...they state that it is ATF approved.
Seriously, that thing would be easy to shoulder. Short LOP, yeah but doable.

What's wrong with the forehand stablizing grip?

Don't like the idea of being locked into my weapon!

That does look pretty much exactly like what someone had been posting about on calguns. Maybe they got paid? I wouldn't have said no to Sig if the price was right.

As far as it not being an SBR, it can't be an SBR since it's not a rifle. Nowhere in the definition of SBR is there anything about strapping a pistol to your arm.

Kinda like a sling attached to your rifle???

Be a good way to ensure you can hold onto your rifle if you are going on a solo mission., if you catch my drift.

This would be perfect for home defense. Strap one on each arm, with a Surefire 60 round mag loaded in each pistol. With laser sighting, you would be unstoppable, like Duke Nukem.

EM, your talking about your great state, here in CA, 60rd mag on a AR pistol = picking up soap in a shower room at Folsom State Prison. Haha..

Better save some of that baby powder for your chafed butt hole.

That would be cool to have, but I can see all the local ranges not allowing it.

not an SBR, not designed for use as a stock. Could it be used as a stock........who knows. but here's the thing, most AR pistols have buffer tubes, and they can be kinda used as a stock, but they are not SBR's. Not surprising to me that FTB would approve this. basically its a type of workaround just like the slidefire is. In order for ATF to outlaw them they would have to rewrite the definitions of SBR and machine gun (which takes an act of congress to do)

besides for what Sig is probably going to ask for one of those it would be cheaper to pay the damn tax (speaking of which my SBR paperwork should be back soon!!!)

Yeah, but a sling isn't an extention of my arm (with that thing) and I can "let go" of my weapon (3 point sling) and have two free hands at my use....

Try getting over a wall or any obstical in CQB mode with that straped to your arm. Just say'in...
